Hello Rose Community,

Okay, I have just forwarded this to the staff hoping that someone is still up and sees it - or it will be fixing itself.

I cross fingers for you guys.

Sorry guys, but it's not done with "run it as an admin".......this is a DNS Resolution failure...

The error message persists. Just so you guys are able to see what we are facing:

Error.jpg

This screen is taken just now and as you can see I'm clearly not able to even start the game.

But as one of you might know, hihi, I was online yesterday evening just perfectly fine - while the DS maint was going on.

I guess the "lucky ones" that can still start the game are the ones who have the DNS resolution still in their caches.

All DNS resolutions are cached for several hours, so if you have logged in some time before, you can be lucky and still have the DNS resolution in your cache. All others, like me, who do not have it in their cache will get this error and be unable to login.

:p_smile:

Well, I'm not the only one facing this error so I highly doubt that it is my ISP .......don't think people from all around the world are all using my ISP. :p_smile:

Sorry, for the German part in the background, as you can see I'm connecting to the game from Germany... just ignore this. It's a Windows thing, mine is set to German........ :p_smile:

Edit:

Yay, Poppie for the rescue! :p_laugh:

Hey Poppie, nice to see you coming in for a visit. :p_smile:

Oh i know how to solve this. I had the same issue. I will take ss of how i did solve it. But its firewall related. You need to add the ports that rose uses to the firewall. I will show how asap :).

We are getting closer. Thanks for that info, it actually helped a lot. :p_smile:

We are facing a connectivity issue from Germany at the time it seems.

What is your ISP company, just curious?

At time being I know that "UnityMedia" and "Telekom" both have the same issue. Could be more German ISP facing it though....don't know.

Seems one DNS server has gone poof.

Switching to google DNS for a short time (while the issue is ongoing) does work. Thankfully I work in an IT company and I know what I'm talking about. I tested it and it works fine for me. :p_smile:

Oh firewall, that is a great tip - sadly it does not help in this case. But yes, the normal reaction would have been to check if all is well with it. :p_smile:

I gonna show soon what i did to solve mine error. Maybe that works for you girls too :).

Edit: since ss wont work cuz everything in dutch i will just type what to do.

Go to your windows firewall --> then to advanced settings --> then click on rules incoming connections

-->click on rose online --> click on properties --> click on ports --> then at local and external port you put the setting specific ports.

--> then put the numbers 80, 29000, 29100, 29200 there.

https://support.warp...-play-rose.aspx

hopefully this helps.

You can also try using OpenDNS servers. Not sure if it will help in Germany though.

Do you have Teamviewer on your computer mom?

If you do, I can have a look at your computer to know where went wrong. ^^

I am glad to hear that this does not affect the whole game. I already informed the staff that no intervention is needed.

It actually seems to be a regional problem (Germany) because I have the same problems with another ISP.

However, I tried an open DNS server and it works.

Since changing the DNS server needs some technical knowledge I would recommend to refrain from trying this if you don't know how to do this.

However, my visit here is over for now. It was nice to meet you guys. Enjoy your game!

It's working for me either without re-installing. Seems that the german DNS provider has fixed the issue.

Sweden still have issues though.

EDIT: Actually, by hitting "Check plugins", it will bypass the patch check and you'll be able to click on Start.

I got disconnected two times today,

2:50 pm new york time and exactly an hour later again. When i log in it says account in use.

How is this possible? Even after changing the password it still happens and I was logged in that time already and changed the password on an other computer.

Is this the same issue still? OR someone trying to log in?

No one is hacking your account, so there is no need to worry and change your password.

You are receiving the message "Account already logged in" because you logged in on your previous attempt. Since the login server is having issues, it thinks your account is still logged in。

Just have some patience, everything will be back up again eventually.
