Hello, I have a quick question about Bards/Maestro in comparison and contrast to Ranger/Hunter, "looting character" mechanics. If I, say, create a character and make an archer but have the problem where I'm stuck on the issue to become a bard or a hunter, and choose to become a bard for my friends but named the damn sucker 'SkyDustLoot', while remaining true to wanting the loot mechanic of Arrow Storm and Double Strafe, (In order to use those skills for the purpose of "loot' 'Maining'" on the character instead of Hunter/Ranger.)

Could it be that my problem isn't a problem at all? I would highly appreciate any feedback on the above question at the time.

Thanks for any feedback! :p_idea:

Yes you click on the loot and your character bends down to pick it up. Like everyone else.

Well, on that note, I meant to include the indication "loot" into making a character that'd be able to main as a 'looter'...

Edit: "Loot" wasn't mentioned in the og post. "looting" was.

There is ONLY ONE class with a looting skill. Blacksmith. And it's a quest skill.

Your question still makes absolutely no sense.

Loot maining is a term to describe looting as a main character for that specific purpose.

I think what he means is to have a main that is used for farming. With the right gears, you can use the performer class for farming loots. They have a skill called severe rainstorm that is the AOE skill that you can get when you turn to minstrel and you can still use double strafe.

Thank you.

To sum-up. What I was originally quoting and therefore inducting from the representative class Archer in this sub-forum, was simply how to designate which class out of 2 branches -- ex. Bard/Hunter branch vs. Ranger/Maestro branch. With the issue of farming loot in mind, what character would best define the role in this case is all the issue is so asked for.

Id say ranger. But minstrel is also fun but I prefer wanderer over it.

I agree, infact its perfect for partying and helping others with loot if you have the right assets in the build \ legit equipment to back it up. Plus, it looks like the whole game revolves around magic strings to just re-express the intent of bard-making in looter/supporter roles. It's interesting how this class works. Also, the majority of this game's pidgeonholing goes directly towards the implication of Zeny making, and so I based off the question this sentiment along with how to farm loot to get there for/with it.

If you're just hunting monsters endlessly to make money/find items, and those are your only choices, then Ranger. They can hide with camouflage and they go through less arrows than performer. And you'd be able to swap elements on the fly once you have big crossbow, while performer is stuck until they get bow of storms, which is crazy hard to make. Also ranger does its damage up front, so it doesn't have to tank the enemies while killing them, but performer foten has to.
