You could go over your 10k wpe limit. You only get that error if you are at 10k wpe or above. So you first top up to 9500 wpe first then add a 10k wpe purchase on top of that. That gives you 19500 wpe on the account.

Most regular items devaluate over time, WPE doesn't at all (unless raffler?)

so basically you want to convert a large sum of real money into fake money and just leave it sitting somewhere.
Its funny that you think "real money" is any more real that WPE.
Edit:
or you could actually use your real money for a real investment? WPE isn't a commodity.
I actually responded before I read this one. I'll give you partial credit.

What I do when I store WPE is I exchange them into codes. I generally have 30-40k WPE in codes and on two different accounts at a time.
And @ Necro: I'm pretty sure he's investing zeny into WPE. Zeny and item fluctuates, but WPE is generally the same.
When you buy WPE the person gives you a code. It's not really safe to keep it in that code form, so you put it on your account and then generate your own code to store it. I have a excel sheet to store my codes in 1k/2k/3k columns.

Wow, I feel bad when I spend more than $20 on this game in a month Me personally, If I'm planning on taking a break from RO I probably make sure my account is close to zero. Why spend money on a game you're not even playing?

12$/Month was too much for a jobless teen. I'm still amazed so many kids use so much of their parents money for games :s.

I'm more amazed there are parents that don't keep an eye on their finances. Remember that kid that spent $1,400 on Farmville using his mom's credit card without her knowing?

Ugh, I still remember saving up $10 in change from lunch/movies/etc. skateboarding to the post-office to buy a money order to mail to Nexon to play Darkages when I was younger....my parents wanted me and games to have nothing to do with eachother.

I also had the packages shipped to my classmate's apt and picked them up from his place since I didn't want my parents to know I was spending a crapton of money on star wars cards >>

Seeing all of you folks work for what you got/get actually gives me some hope for the future.
My buddies and I would bag up stray golf balls from a driving range that floated downstream and resell them.
We thought a few bucks for a package of 6 was highway robbery but we got close to selling out on the side of a road.
This was until some non-law enforcement jerk asked us if we had a permit. "Yea buddy, some kids with zipper bags of golf balls in a wagon REALLY have a permit." <facepalm>
People these days wonder why kids sell drugs.

Man me and my friend got over 200 golfballs one time trying to make some money, only to find out NO ONE wanted to buy them. We hit a lot of golf balls into my woods that weekend.

Yea, I think we lucked out. We had a decent golf community and by no means rich area. We even did buy one get one free to get folks to stop and it worked. The things you do for pre-8 bit game cartridges. LOL
