Man This game has been going on in NA for longer than 11 years. Time 4 changes?

Don't let this good game die out, this game has been going on for over 11 years and is dying on and off, why not make it more interesting? I mean people still play Diablo 2 and that game is older than this one. When Rose came out it was ahead of its time in the graphics and gameplay; sadly everytime I come back on it seems like more and more things are being removed from the game.

 

So here are some suggestions for game experience improvement, tell me what you think.

 

  1. Create a PVP system where it is like a Battle Royale, where people rely solely on themselves and not buffs from other characters. This PVP game would be top of its class if it didnt rely as much as it does on game energy as if it did on spending actual zulie for admission where the top 3 winners split accordingly, and all participants get items or premium points for participating. Do It on multiple levels too where it is easy for more inexperienced players have a shot too instead of thinking oh i have to spend a fortune to make it anywhere in this game. You could do this on multiple levels where admission is 100m each participant, 50m each participant, and even 10m each participant. Surely these numbers are reasonable for people whom are experienced to those who are not so experienced.
  2. Possibly a daily log-in for rewards? other than premium. Maybe after an hour of active play?
  3. Create a dungeon that you go into with a party only certain times of the day that gives huge amounts of experience and decent rewards that would help balance out the ridiculous amount of people who bot on this game.
  4. During the day nobody is on during the day often enough to start an Akram Arena, perhaps make another small game where people can pvp in like a 5vs5 setting, able to go in only as a group or party.
  5. For the Newcomers who love pvp but cant, and especially those at lower levels, create a pvp system where you can PVP AI or along with AI at half the reward of honor for normal pvp matches.
  6. Of course the game is out to make money, make it available to purchase King/royal sets in IM I am sure some people would pay a good 5000 IM just to get a king set. I think this would help bring down some gold buyers/sellers.

I can not think of anything else off the top of my head but I would like feedback even if it is from a Mod.

Yeah I personally think it would be the best idea. Especially as an entry fee for reward system, just like gambling. A minimum of 1 and a Maximum of maybe 45? have it start automatically every hour on the hour; this would eliminate people queuing up and not going in causing it to not let everyone else enjoy it. It should be where you need to queue up before a certain time otherwise you are too late and need to queue up the next time around. Also I just thought to make it more fair of people not just ganging up and taking top rewards, make it to where there are no names being shown just characters ready to kill or be killed.

This does make the idea by far better, base it on a players level to get rewards. And more max character players, you could make a daily quest more challenging each consecutive day you log in, or allows you to miss no more than 3 consecutive days  otherwise your rewards will reset back to the first reward. You could make the day#30 quest extremely difficult to achieve and give out a great reward. (Rewards and difficulty would definitely have to be based on level).

Yeh it really is not complete PVP, but you would allow newbies who are skeptical about putting money into a game they arent entirely sure about if they are going to like it or not. Let's face it, you are not going to be PVPing anytime before max level so to those newcomers who don't know much and cannot come to an active forum they will more than likely quit before they have opportunity to reach the games maximum potential. And AI feature would have to have minimal rewards so that it cannot be farmed and if it is it would be a waste of time/money; the sole purpose  is to make it as in entry to PVP versus making it to max level and getting one shotted to a system you don't understand. 

 

A PVP the GM event, I think it is a good idea; but to tweak it a little more to be something a little fun for everyone of all levels to enjoy. Maybe a clear the bounty on the GM, Person to get last hit gets the bounty, maybe Daily reward boxes to to all people who contributed damaging the GM. Of Course this would only work if they were super GMS and had enormous amounts of health.

Definitely make it to where you have more options when it comes to Royal or Kingdom sets.

 

 

 

All of these ideas would be good for gameplay experience, and it would be good for profit for the game as it would draw in more of an audience. Surely it would bring back some retired players. Definitely a game update that would be worthwhile. Why worry about things like increasing the level cap? Make the game more interesting for new players and old players.

I'd prefer a daily reward than a daily quest. I'd be content with both as well. The daily reward should be substantial though, perhaps a temporary exp boost item that lasts an hour. It would be safer for the economy for the reward to a consumable I'm thinking.

 

This game currently feels really unfriendly to new players. I think I feel that way mostly from how I see its current economy. I wonder how this game can attract new players. MAKE GETTING TO LEVEL 100 EASIER/FUN. Maybe. Empty sad Zant is sad.

 

I haven't reached endgame or experienced most of what Rose has to offer but I'll just throw some random ideas out there.

Back to what I don't know, namely dungeons, I don't know how they work, there are even special game modes? Getting to level 100 takes a long time and most of those things are limited to high levels I think. Level 100 is considered early mid-level even right?

 

More random words:

Increased drop rates at high party levels.

Item rewards when a party reaches certain levels.

Quests that reward good items? (character locked buff potions)

Perhaps a special currency rewarded from being in parties or doing well in parties that can be spent somewhere.

Special monsters that spawn under certain conditions that has good drops. (yeah Rose already does that, do that more)

 

So I'm thinking more options to get more exp? We're limited to killing things and having things spawn in special ways.

Can't go and create new maps and mechanics so easily.

Perhaps go back and look at carts!

 

*reads rose online's wiki page* Is jRose still a thing? what are they doing?

 

Implementation is hard, yep.

 

Edit: I wonder about this thing I thought about.

 

Ultimate Kings

This seems possible, reusing and updating old monsters sounds like a good idea.

Have a special King Class monster that spawns on every monster map that adjusts his level/difficulty according to the highest character near it. This King Class monster spawns pretty occasionally, perhaps every 30 min or hour, has worthwhile perhaps even monster related items. This monster only spawns far in a corner though, in a special place on the map, not just right there in the middle. Perhaps doesn't even aggro normal players. The most difficult thing to implement about this is probably how the monster adjusts his difficulty.

 

The purpose of this is to keep various maps populated, veteran players could maybe buff new players when they come across eachother.

Problem is that veteran players would have to wait for these Kings to spawn.

I'm thinking they would need to do a quest to make these Kings spawn maybe.

 

I suppose people kill kings for special coins? I sort of want kings to return to their previous, weaker state and have these new kings spawn separately and take there place.

How about a non PvP zone with dummy targets that behave like PvP Targets to practice against? That could allow newer players to practice without having the threat of another player killing them.

Rofl, I proposed a Training Dummy summon a while ago, not sure where it got lost in the abyss but yeah, same concept. The dummy mimics your stats exactly with only 1 minor difference [50% of your critical rate: IE If you have 1500, dummy has 750]

You would need a way to track your damage per second, accuracy.

Having a dummy would be fun and all, and totally possible to make. But it would not fight back, so it would be hard to compare it to a real battle situation.

Unless of course the dummy has a certain amount of health, then you can time how fast you make the bar deplete.

Again, if it mimics your stats perfectly it will have the same HP as you to start, and the tooltip will display it's stats just like every other summon in game. :) You can track your accuracy by using your own dodge vs accuracy. 

 

But I can also see where you might want a different 'version' of a dummy. So, perhaps more than one dummy can be made.
