Rant:
Okay, so here's a little back story about me. I'm a typical Rose player, I'm not no business man in real life, nor in any game, the way I always made money in games is by doing something easy like - dungeons, selling gear, basically - selling what I earned by sweating my armpits on the battlefield. I was never really good with making money on Rose, and god remembers the times when I'd literally beg and scarvange any type of money from my fellow Rosarians.
Thankfully, I'm not just a typical begger, back when Rose was at least a little bit more about the skill (Gear switching/ Buffsets/ Stuns/ stealth - cloak glitches and what not) rather than just gear, I kind of learned all of it and practiced a lot to at least show resistance with my - back then a Reinforced +10 set and a hardened katar with [e7] in it. A great clan has noticed me back then and helped me get some gear together, eversince I've joined the great crowd, I ran around in glor, which helped me farm some honor to sell. Bearing in mind, I'm not Crunes friend in any shape or form, I kept selling clean glor/chiv sets. I'd sweat my testicles off in what used to be called - Union Wars. I would always check the prices of honor and make sure I balanced my prices within the economy ranges. Which then lead to me, buying a FV. I was the happiest person alive. After I got my FV, I started farming honor more actively, having way more fun, which then made everything be a piece of cake. I'd sell a set a day to keep the poverty away. I had people who'd go to me, just to buy their honor gears, their materials, they knew if I'm online, I'll give them a good deal without any hastle.
Now, you're probably wondering why I just typed a lot of letters above. I'll explain. It's because I was one of the few who made their living by selling honor. I just wanted to explain how money was made by the people who DON'T spend thousands on IM. People who don't have expensive costumes and a fair bit of luck in drops. People who aren't half as good at upgrading their items. People who don't have their computer on 24/7 for vending purposes. People who don't live in Rose, but play it because it's a quality game and of course, people who actually want to achieve something within it. For me, and people like me, selling honor was the only way to get anywhere.
Recently, I came back to playing Rose Online after a good break. Logging on happily, looking at this fresh server merge, I felt very happy, I knew there would be more people and that would mean, what? Exactly - More customers, who I can do my business with. But as I log on and put on my glorious on my shoulders, I notice the little, yet worrying "Character bound on equip". I didn't think of it as much, as I looked at IM vends beforehand and noticed "Item unbinder". So I thought, well, if I ever want to unbind it,I'll just buy that thing. Little did I know, it doesn't work on honor gears. So happily, I joined "Akram Arena", in which someone randomly blurted out "B> Chiv Aurum Set 20b" to which my heart lit up, looking at my pockets I had 500m left from the last time I logged on. Inside of me I was so happy, telling my self 'Well, that's going straight in my basket'. I set up a deal with the guy, bought the IM unbinders and guess what?
- It did.. not.. work. -
I tried and tried to unbind it, it just wouldn't. To which I said sorry, I can't sell you what you want, it just won't unbind.. Which raised a serious concern and a blow to my pocket as I was down to 100m after buying 4 unbinders. I instantly clicked, g'damn, how am I going to make money now?!
I went over to the honor shops and noticed that a lot of stuff is Character locked on Acquire. You don't understand the amount of depression flowing through my heart as I was reading these words. A person who made his fortune in this game once before, gets his opportunity of doing what he knows best taken away.. Thankfully I had 5k honor saved up, so the new passives weren't a problem for me. But I'm broke...
Conclusion and questions:
What can a raider do these days, with full passives + 200 glor and a pair of FV?
The only way I'm surviving now is by selling honor bindrunes, and not a lot of people are buying them. I don't know how long that will go on for. If anyone could get back with some advice for me, taking in account the circumstances I've typed in here, it would be well appreciated.
The advice I'm asking for is something that I could do. Not just - "Oh go buy and sell". That relates to the 24/7 online, which I can not do for now. I'm looking for ways to get at least a bit of money flowing through honor/valor. If anyone has any ways, please, I'm more than happy to discuss/take them in.
