It only doubles damage when it crits.

That`s ok. When you have a 100% crit(like assassin`s invisible skill) you would be able to get a second chance to double your damage from critical strike.

We spent some time looking into it after we heard this yesterday. From our testing, crits and DoTs don't have double damage. The doubling effect was only applying if you don't crit. Auto-attacks did not double. Rangers/Wizard don't seem to have double damage. Beastmaster, Warrior, Knight, Crescentia, Sins and Rogues can all be added to your list. I didn't test SM, Sorcs, Priest, or Monks personally.
Yeah...PVP is going to be unpleasant to say the least.

i've did some testing myself too with some friends. actually crit from skill is doin double the dmg shown on combat log as well, even normal hit from skill does sometimes
as for now, hider classes seem to deal exceptional amount of dmg due to the fact that coming out of hide is already dealing double dmg not to mention when it crits, so with this bug, it actually does 8x dmg compared to normal 4x for hiders
and yea, dot doesnt seem to hav this bug effect
