I dont see them fixing it anytime soon. Wanderers have been, since temporal boots arrival, as good killer as other classes on TIs in terms of total damage dealt

Temporal boots was a huge buff to severe rainstorm. The Bow of Storm[1] allows you to spam SR about 30% faster, which is great. Combining those two, you will frequently trigger hawkeye during the first SR and have it for the second. Very frequently. Which is great.

@EinZweiDrei - I personally use an incubus pet, and other SP consumables as needed. Vitata 500/Large SP Increase Potions help with SP regen. If you have access to a potter, it offsets the cost a little bit.

@fuyukikun - I'm pretty WoE active and main my Maestro. I don't like to post my gears. Even if they are PvM. I've seen your posts on other sections and have no doubts you can figure it out. If you fall short of dmg, PM me and we can go over it. A big portion comes from leveraging elements. I was using Crystal Arrows on the fire egg in the screenshots.

is the arch angel a must for the regen or is the sp leech from those items good enough?

It's all in the technique.
I will cast SR on top of myself, and then spam Arrow Shower on top of my character. It knocks the mob away from you resulting in less dmg to your character.

It can take a little getting used to, but it's nice once you get the hang of it.

i always thought SR looked really fun to play around with but that cost is really steering me away.
i keep thinking why not just make a ranger AS is better but the thing is i dont want to make a ranger, there are enough rangers and it look like rangers will get boring quickly.
so with a hunter fly carded thanatos bow SR compare to malicious thanatos katar RC for leeching HP.

HF is usefull, not a must. I used HF carded elven on TIs with high hp(takes longer to kill and ends up reaching me) or attacks from further than melee range. Otherwise i just stick to AS elven

is the hp leech proc rate from SR good enough to sustain without depending on pots?
i like having a clean inventory to greed my loots and carry more quivers and fly wings.
i dont like teleport. its way too clunky with that stupid box. why cant they just make it act like a fly wing there only 1 option to choose there besides cancel.

SR works basically like RC, but with larger aoe and far lesser damage. Not using pots will depend on the balance of damage taken/received. If fighting enemies that hit low u will have no problem to leech, of they hit hard or use strong skills them u got some problems. Succubus+incubus TI i was using DR hbp, evil druid armor, and about 170 def. Still had to pot a lot. On anolians+somethig TI tho i barelly used any pots, using +5 HF elven and +9RWH. Is like leveling a gx without edp

I find medium life potion more than sufficient to keep hp full. You can get the via merry badger.

Hunterfly is not bad if you have 4 of it in 1 weapon. It puts my hp back to full quickly then I switch back to my damage/default weapon.

Normal 11300 x 12 hits = 135600 in 7 seconds. DPS: 19370

Hawkeye in the middle 18500 x 12 hits = 222000 in 7 seconds. DPS: 31700

Full Hawkeye 29200 x 12 hits = 350400 in 7 seconds. DPS: 50050

 

+7 Kingbird Bow of Storms + Oridecon Arrow + Water Converter (using crystal arrow yields similar result)

Normal 10500 x 12 hits = 126000 in 5 seconds. DPS: 25200

Hawkeye in the middle 17000 x 12 hits = 206400 in 5 seconds. DPS: 41280.

Full Hawkeye 27000 x 12 hits = 324000 in 5 seconds. DPS: 64800

 

Conclusion:

+7 Kingbird Bow of Storms has 30% better DPS than +7 Kingbird Elven Bow

From my own tests, Bow of Storm does like 12% less damage than Elven, but elven bow has 40% more cooldown. So this comes out to like 30% better damage over time, but somehow looks less impressive.

However, with large mobs you'll always trigger haweye and your next SR will be soon enough that you'll get the next SR with 200% more damage modifier. Without having to do anything extra to proc the hawkeye more consistently (like magnum break or arrow shower) which saves time and adds to DPS.

Basically Bow of Storm has a lot of subtle advantages that make it worth using despite the lower damage per hit.
