Obviously the announcements aren't doing much since people still get scammed. Integrating the information into Gramps makes people rush through them. So how about we bring back the old Tip of the Day window and shove all these PSA messages into it? The files for the window is still in the RO folder so just enable it again.

If the reason the tip window stopped working was because of kRO, then get them to fix the darn thing. Plenty of people are tired of having their chatboxes filled up with these PSAs. At least the tip window doesn't affect chatboxes and the information is shoved into players' faces every time they log into the game.

Tip of the day was better than the global announcements; there were times when I found it helpful to put personalized reminders in there.

 

"Tip of the day: Make sure you have enough coffee to get through the night."

I like how, with all the griping about the game, Proposals and Suggestions generates minimal traffic.

I learned so many useful things with tip of the day, like commands I couldn't be bother googleing.

 

If it also gets rid of the global announcements even better!

Since kRO's newest UI shows a button for the "Tip of the Day" window, how about proactively bringing it back for iRO? I don't understand why it was abandoned to begin with.

^ that is if you are awake enough to be able to see Cecil before she kills you instantly. Playing in field maps is boring AF.

I dont see how this "tip of the day feature" would cause any problem, no harm in experimenting.
