Most of the guides I've seen seem to agree that the Mug skill is terrible. Is that always the case? I'm just wondering if it's possible to create an entire build around the mug skill using high luck and dex. With those two stats high enough, would mug be useful? Would it be a better option for making money than just farming valuable item drops, or does mugging enemies never gain you enough zeny to be viable?

on serious note: stack as many agi and aspd gear as possible. then dex for hit rate and better steal rate.

look at it this way. maxing out dex and luk to increase your success chance at mug is not that great an idea. luk messes with your dbl attack, you won't have as much flee to dodge the monsters, and your sp pool won't be good to begin with, meaning that you'll only be able to get a few mugs off before you need to regen.

you're better off just hunting in areas with high value drops, using a dex/agi build and getting free steals via gank.

Zeny Knife + Mug + Cramp Card = Zeny Bot lel

From my experience testing the money is barely worth the time spent grinding. But if you afk in OD with the ring set and some autocast equips? Wear a zeny knife and a tarou card if possible. Left my GX sitting there over night for the lulz and ended up with a whoppi g 10k zeny

If you want to make money, then make a blacksmith and just greed in the low TI.

 

Seriously, there's millions of zeny's worth of loot just sitting around. Grab like 200 fly wings, and just wing around greeding whatever loot pile doesn't have the owner over it.
