Let's do this, ...instead of doing the "let's have more classes / not have classes" debate... Let's talk about what the original poster was saying, and let's give suggestions on cool classes that could be implemented whether or not it will actually happen.

Sorry for this massive post, but I'm just going to freely unload some ideas for current classes I've had over just the past 2 years [since the skill update] I'll start with the Knights, then move on [editing this post] and posting when I edited it. 

Btw, the 'tree's' are just the lanes or paths you take inside the skill tree itself in theory. 

Knights > 'Hero' / 'Commander / Sentinel'

 

'Commander' Tree

Role: Group Support, Tank. [ <<< Mace Specialty]

Position: Mid-Back of Line.

Battle Standard of Recovery: [Summon]

Place a stationary banner that regenerates HP once every 5 seconds to allies in a 10m Area. [30sec cooldown?]

Battle Standard of Courage: [Summon]

Place a stationary banner that increases AP and Critical Rate by 5% once every 30 seconds to all allies in a 10m Area [1min cooldown?]

Battle Standard of Bravery: [Summon]

Place a stationary banner that Decreases Damage taken by 5% and Harmful status resistance by 10% once every 30 seconds to all allies in a 10m Area [2min cooldown?]

Role: Strong Single Ally Support , Tank [ <<< Sword Specialty]

Position: Wherever Needed.

Protect an ally with a blessing reducing damage taken by 30%, and granting them immunity to stuns for 10 seconds.

Revive a fallen ally and grant them full health while protecting them from damage for 2 seconds. [100% @ skill level 5]

Vanguard's Haste: [Self Buff only] -use 'proc' system, cannot be dispelled. [leveling = duration increase]

Dramatically increase your movement speed for 10 seconds by 500.

Altruistic Virtue: [Proc]

Using Hero's Blessing, Hero's Revival or Vanguard's Haste now increases your HP received by 50% for 5 seconds. [10% : level]

Flexible Strength: [Passive]

 @ skill 5 = 2 STR : 1 dodge value

Ebullient Force: [self buff only]

Temporarily maximize your pierce value at the cost of your block rate [block rate -30%] for 15 seconds

Debilitating Toss:

Throw your sword with superb accuracy Disarming you and your target for a short time [AP + Accu Down 100%] duration 5 seconds.

Warcry: [Sorcery]

A challenging threat that decreases your surrounding foe's Attack Power, Defense and Movement speed by 10% + # each.

Duration: 10 seconds

'Sentinel' tree

When struck by a stun, you gain weapon range +15m for 7 seconds. This effect cannot occur more than once every 20 seconds.

Critical Comprehension: [Proc]

When Critically Hit, you have a 25% chance to gain 5% Critical Rating for 10 seconds. Max 5 stacks, this effect cannot refresh itself once the stacks are maxed at 5.

Guardian Spirit: [Heal Ally only]

Target your Ally and send them a holy charged bolt, healing them and granting recovery.

Unparalleled Defenses: [Passive]

1 DEX : 2 Critical

Efficacious Stance: [Self buff only]

Increase your block amount by a value equal to 50% of your Dodge Rating for a short time. Lasts 15 seconds.

Heavy Bolt Mastery: [Passive]

Melee AP : 7.5% : level.

Explosive Bolts: [Passive]

Critical Damage + 50% @ level 5

Iron Will: [Passive]

Status Resistance: 20% @ level 5

 

Bolo Shot:

Launch a pair of bolo bolts, locking your target in place and reducing their dodge to absolute 0.

Bowgun Smash:

Plow your target with your Crossbow causing surprise and lowering their defense.

'Gladiator' Tree

Role: DPS : Pressure [ TwoHand Sword Specialty]

Position: Mid-Front line.

Proclaim grounds as your own, while in local area you and allies are granted more Health and more Health Received.

Max HP +20% / HP Received +15% [Source is a 'stationary summon' that cannot be targeted/destroyed that casts this skill as a proc learned] Duration 15 seconds, effect is cast every 10th second and 'summon' effect expires after 25 seconds.

Gladiator's Spirit Rush: [Proc]

Casting Space Attack or Soul Wreck immediately grants you a massive but short increase to movement speed [500] and attack speed [50%]. Effect cannot occur more than once every 30 seconds.

Rage of the Oppressed: [Proc]

Being struck by a mute results in your Melee AP dramatically improving by 20% for a short time[10 sec]. This effect cannot occur more than once every 30 seconds.

Vim Vitae: [Self Heal only] [btw Latin for 'Life Force' closest language used in ancient Rome]

Consume half of your mana to enable battle regeneration. Battle Regeneration: Char Level * 10 + 125 for 5 seconds. [@230 = 2425 : total 12,125 HP [roughly 1/2 to 1/3 max HP] 60 second cooldown.

Vigorous Might: [Passive]

Max HP : 100 = Melee Attack Power

HP recovery : *2 = Skill Power

Zeus' Champion: [Self Buff only]

Call upon Zeus to grant your magic the ultimate piercing power. Grants 75% Magic Resistance Pierced for 10 seconds.

Double Edged Mastery: [Passive]

Skill Power + 700 @skill5

Melee Power + 15% @skill5

Nonpareil: [Passive]

Throw yourself into a full blown hysteria, dispelling all negative status effects and granting 100% status immunity for 10 seconds.

Cooldown 60 seconds.

Relentless Challenger: [Proc]

Using Weapon Toss, Axe Launcher or Searing Barrage now grants you increased movement speed and Skill Power for 5 seconds. [500 movespeed + 50% skill power] This effect cannot occur more than once every 50 seconds.

Furious Blessing: Unleash Fury: [Special system explained in spoiler]

This is a three part skill

You need: Level 1 Furious Blessing [2sp] and level 3 Unleash Fury [3sp] total = 5

Furious Blessing grants 'Criticals have a 50% chance to generate 1 stack of 'Furious Charge' which grants 5% Healing Received.'

Unleash Fury requires "level 5 Furious Charge". Once you have 5 stacks you will no longer get the 'Unusable due to unfulfilled requirements' message, allowing usage of 'Unleash Fury'. 

So in short, in order to use 'Unleash Fury' you need 5 stacks of 'Furious Charge' granted from 'Furious Blessing' Passive Procs.

Pull your inner fire out and carve into your enemy with the flames, causing massive damage and cauterization. Instantly applies max stacks of 'wounded'

Searing Barrage: [Fire] Magic Damage

Focus your rage into a charge of plasmatic fire, and launch it at your enemy causing them to burn. [400/s for 5 seconds]

Massive Beat Down:

Take your fist and beat your foe down to the ground with it. [Knock down]

- moderate damage : 100% hit : large cooldown -

 

'Triumvirate' Tree

Role: DPS : Self Sufficient [<<< Spear Specialty]

Using Elemental AoE's grants you stacks of Magic Resistance [20% : stack] This effect cannot refresh itself once all stacks are gained. Stack duration 15 seconds.

Call upon the Fire Spirit granting you Damage Return [aka Reflection]. Duration 30seconds

Wind Spirits Grace: [Proc]

When stunned you are granted 100% Dodge for 5 seconds. This effect cannot occur more than once every 30 seconds.

Frost Guardians Shield: [Special]

Call upon the Frost Spirits to protect your allies with a moderate damage shield. Shield is equal to 50% of your Max HP.

Concentrated Resistance: [Passive]

2 CON : 3 Magic Resistance

Ice Sharpoon: [Frost]

Condense frost around your spear tip and jab your foe, sending chilling energy into your foe and slowing their attack speed and movespeed. 10% Aspeed + 5% Movespeed / stack, max 5 stacks.

- moderate damage : medium cooldown -

Elemental Flux: [Sorcery]

Swirl in chaotic Elemental energy and release it in all directions, Dispelling 1 random beneficial effect from all enemies in an Area.

- no damage : large cooldown -

Earthen Stone Dance: [Earth]

Perform a spinning Dance, that kicks up stones chipping and dulling enemies weapons. Critical Damage -30% + Critical Rating -15% Down

- no damage : large cooldown-

Yea, I pruned a few out, and tried to format it to almost be like a skill tree or something akin to what we have now. I probably forgot some ideas so far as well, but it's all just in my head, things I've thought of over time and never wrote down.
