Hello!

So, I am encountering an issue here and an annoying one at that xD

1)I download Rose

2)I launch and the game patches

3)I press start and nothing happens Dx<

I've disabled all of Norton and re-downloaded the game and that seems to work BUT if I re-activate Norton and close the game, the next time I try to log on the same problem occurs.

I've disabled Norton's SONAR protection which is what keeps deleting the file but it is still not working. I've also added Rose to these lists:

  • Items to exclude from scans
  • Items to exclude from auto-protect, SONAR, and download intelligence detection
  • Signatures to exclude from all detection's

I've re-downloaded the game multiple times now with no success.

Just wondering if there is another Windows 8.1, Norton user out there who could lend me a helping hand :)

Thanks so much!

I feel like there is a certain order in which to do everything. I've tried to replicate the same results 6 times now and it is never the same....

Here is my current order:

  1. Disable Norton
  2. Download/patch the game
  3. Press start and it will work
  4. add rose to all the above lists
  5. reactivate Norton
  6. Log out of the game and try to log back in
  7. fail. lol

Today it has only followed the above steps once... every other time the game won't open no matter what I do. I've tried different steps to replicate the the first attempt to no avail :/

The only thing I can do is if I get the game to work again, never log out lol.... which isn't very practical :x

Again, any help is greatly appreciated!!! :)

Yea, uninstall Norton, and use Avast. It's free and doesn't block ROSE.

Or you can just uninstall the antivirus completely. You don't need it.

As for a solution, look at the Norton quarantine and see files are being flagged. Then you can:

• Disable Norton temporarily
• Reinstall Rose Online
• Add the flagged files to the Norton exceptions list

With the following done, you should no longer experience any issues. But As I mentioned, it would be easier if you just remove antivirus completely. Antivirus software can really slow down your computer, If it is old enough.
