  1. Should I be maxing warg strike or tooth of warg first? I've asked a few players and I've gotten rather mixed answers. I would wish to get the best warg damage I can get.
  2. The warg strike page on irowiki states that the proc chance is based on luk. Is this also affected by crit? So, will the rate increase if I can get a high crit rate using gear without much luk?
  3. Is it true the fear breeze proc and the Double Strafe proc from the WWS will break hitlocking?

Thanks for the help  :p_angel:

1. Warg Strike

2. The warg strike proc rate is only increased by LUK. Specifically, +1% per 3 Luk.

3. Not necessarily. The general rule of thumb is to hit the target with quick constant regular hit per sec, to make the target flinch regularly so as to prevent it from moving forward.

If your target has high flee like during agi-up, the only way to hit it will be critical hits. When Fear Breeze procs, it will overtake critical attacks. As a result, some of your attacks will miss and your hit lock will be lost. Same thing with Double Strafe. For non-agi up MVPs, it's usually okay.

There're several other attributes of proc attacks that are pretty debatable as to whether they affect hitlocks or not. The best thing is always to try it yourself :)

1. Seeing as you should be leveling with Arrow Storm for a while, this is a little irrelevant. By the time you are within range to pull off an effective warg build you should be able to invest both fully.

2. It is LUK, not CRIT. But CRIT is important for hitlocking MVPs with too much FLEE. As stated by Intern above, the rate is 3 LUK to 1% strike chance. I find at least 40% is effective so 120 LUK through base stats, job bonuses and gears is pretty good.

3. Yes. Aside from the fact that they are subject to non-CRIT hit rates, they also whilst only ever so slightly, apply a delay in attacks per second. It's best not to use a full WW Set for warg; and fear breeze should only be used in very few situations (such as Fenrir).

It is the combination of warg proc and hit(crit for perfect hit.multi hit from skill counts as 1 hit) that syncs to the timing required that varies from the movement speed of the target monster.
