Nightmare Dungeon Project

following up my old thread:

with nightmare clock tower coming, we have real place to hunt to 175 outside biolabs. but unfortunately the method to get to 175 is still scarce. guild dungeons just able to accomodate to level 160ish. while monsters in the future patch that are level 150+ mostly located in instances where we only have limited time to grind there. the only things prevent us to grind is the exp penalty. so, by introducing recycled dungeons with high level monsters (150-175) will help.

so why dont we propose our own nightmare dungeons? i want these monsters to have similar sprite, skillset and drops, only level, max HP, attack and exp is modified.

i just think the mvps hp is way too high, somewhere between 20~30 so it looks like NCT

If we can ask new items like Soul of Tundra and other slotted equips, I would like Gravity to add wind or fire counterpart of Chilly Spell Book

making Soul of Volcano for nightmare thor volcano, and Soul of Earth for nightmare abyss lake :). the only thing i want from trading soul of tundra for water weapon is for getting empowered aqua staff :)

I don't like the idea of dropping slotted versions of old items as drops here because it doesn't solve the problem of the original monster/drop being useless. It'd be better if the nightmare monsters dropped something that an NPC would take in exchange for a 100% chance to slot or enchant the old weps, that way both the old drop and new drop have value. Also 3 card slots ain't going to save icicle whip and loner's guitar xP they have low ATK. Maybe instead of card slots offer powerful enchants that supercede what a card can do, like first 3 enchants puts Expert Archer 8 in the first 3 hidden slots, and the 4th enchant is a new special one called mana circulation which restores 30 SP every 10 seconds or something. /ho

I love the updates you've made X3 

 

Same as Kaddy, I think reviving old useless gear for budget and viable alternatives to high-ish end gear is a very welcomed idea. Maybe creating a crystal that gives certain gears an enchant in place of a card (it would look like it was slotted with Darklord Essence). MaxSP/HP, EA, FS, Stat+3, stuff like that.

updated with use of soul items. now it can give enchant to weapon similar to malangdo enchants

Even Poring Land could be a nightmare....

haha, poring emperor card should be a 30% effect of physical version of GTB card :D

delta dragon, imagine u want to use silversmith but want to use pendant of maelstorm as well :D

Nightmare Ice Dungeon (monster level 151-155)

 

I think introducing Nightmare Dungeons for everything is a bit silly, but then again this is completely from the mindset of WoW when I think of a heroic dungeon. It always felt like one of those hackme changes.

 

But at the same time I also think that they could be a really cool idea for leveling alternatives.

 

So here are my suggestions for what they are worth:

  • only create three new maps (160, 165, 170)
  • access to the maps should spawn from a portal which opens up on the death of a local MVP
  • the maps should be a clone of the map that the MVP was killed on
  • the maps used should be based on the old grinding dungeons turn-ins (I am thinking Turtle Dungeon - Turtle General (160), Ice Cave - Ktullanux (165) and Abyss Lake - Detardeus (170))
  • drops should stay the same for everything (but maybe a 50% increase on drop rate for non-boss mobs)
  • bounty boards should never be available for these dungeons
  • there should be a 20% or greater increased spawn rate
  • the colour palletes used should be seen as menacing
  • no custom items (that includes cards)

But yeah, just my suggestions.

will revisit this thread later when i am free. i guess taking some new enchants from verus and sara Fenrir instance update to be placed on some armors and gears (using soul of tundra and friends) will be nice.

even being rare( >>at the begining<<), just makes the person unkillable '-'

Although I would really like to see some monsters in some of these lists be level 200+ Because we all know the strongest things in game should be a monster
