Kill death Ratio

Hey guys, I had this idea that might make pvp a little more fun.

 

For every account it would have a kill/death ratio for pvp zones (including game arenas)

 

your K/D will be located in your stats below where your SEN goes maybe?

 

The way this will work:

 

Every time you kill another player your kills will go up by 1 (per player you kill)

 

For every time you die your deaths will go up by one (from another player)

 

A ratio is then calculated between the two.

 

Example:

 

Kills : 100

Deaths : 10

Ratio 10:1

 

I thought it would be fun to see how well characters compare in overall combat.

 

I ask everyone be open minded about this, it's for fun only.

Wouldn't it be better suited in the character info, maybe under the Stats or Currency?

I agree, something needs to be done about that square haha.

My only question about this idea is, will other people see it too somehow? Or is it just for personal statistics?

I can see people going around killing the same person 1000 times, and not dying once, just so their K/D will be 1000:0.

But other than that, I don't really see a reason it couldn't be added. I just don't see the real purpose haha.

I did make a DPS program to track my average kills per second, but it is not something I can release to people.

Maybe have it so it won't count if you kill the same person more than 3 times in an hour?

 

Maybe we could think of a way it could be displayed for others to see it too, maybe in the clan and group functions?

how about when killing players they would have a chance to gain a consumable skull summon w/ the name of the one who we killed on it, like for example there's a skull summon and if you click it it's name will show as "Head of NoNameRequired" lol xD or maybe it's name will auto show so no need to click to see whose skull is it

lol maybe, that's getting a bit more complicated into the developing side of things tho. A KD ratio itself shouldn't be too hard to implement it would be as simple as each time you killed a play it adds 1 to your Kills, each time you die it adds one to your deaths, and then calculates the ratio between the two.

Ahhh i really like this one! Its only 1v1 pvp that gives me a lot of joy in this game (whether lose or win xD)

Then about the skull thingy, your inventory is already crowded for that :P

PvP isn't a new aspect, this would just be another 'stat' to raise, but it's still something nifty.

New aspect as in, you would have to work hard to not die in wars etc instead of just "Rushing in" like alot of ppl xD

 

Also maybe a high scores that showed the top kill/death ratios in the game?

That depends. How much forward planning was done, what your projected outcome is. What are the benefits of it. What's the reward for it, and will players find it worth while to accomplish. Will it add content, or jsut a feature that obsolecs after a few weeks? 

 

You have to really work proposals on things like this to get it done.

No. Essentially what I'm saying is you can't just waltz in, slap your demands on the table and expect them to want to fill all the gaps you left empty and figure it out precisely the way you think it should work without you giving any instruction or direction what so ever. Let alone provide any incentive to do it in the first place.

 

However, once you do post the details, and rally support from reputable players, then yes you an nag on repeat after that.

i wonder why noone asked this. What's the purpose of adding KDR into rose? What significance can it do it you see someone with high kill compared to death or the other way round? Respect?

 

Another thing, since this is more based on pvp, i don't think adding the stat to the general character stat is much of a good place although it is rather empty under sen. Shouldn't this be at the result window of after a PvP arena game? Won't that make a little more sense?

This is 100% for fun, I know me and my whole clan loved this idea and to us this is a personal goal to keep our K/D ratios as high as possible.

 

Also for my clan I would like to add people with a 8:2 KD ratio or higher only as my clan only wars in TG.

 

It could otherwise be looked at as a "Server wide leader board" for pvp/deaths.

 

I don't see any reason for this not to be implemented as no harm comes from it and it seems to be getting a decent amount of interest.
