Oda used the translation provided to us as placeholder text. Its not been localized.. yet.


40% SP Cost Increase - (the refine level of all three pieces combined + 3)

If Armor is is refined to +7 or higher decrease sp cost by another 1%

If Armor is is refined to +9 or higher decrease sp cost by another 1%


I am basing mine off the special effect table.


What's the point of putting out the box description when the text has not been checked yet?

Something so simple as running through the sentences with someone who knows Korean or someone who knows the actual effect of said gears. Or checking the effect table like Camp did but doing it before maintenance..

It seems to me like WP should have some sort of quality assurance (QA) person who reads new items' descriptions and determines if it looks good in English, before releasing it. Bonus points if they also log into the game for 5 minutes to make sure the description lines up with what it does =/

They dont even need to hire a guy. Just post it here on forum before maintenance, and on the next day you'll find 5 pages of dicsussion on its actual effect and the proper translation from various players.

That's also why I was really hoping what Camp said about releasing the details of all new items be done in Renewal servers too. Getting all secretive about new item is really a retarded move.

They should just use my iRO Wiki DB entries as reference. I make everything clean/easy to read and use STANDARDIZED language.

Getting all secretive about new item is really a retarded move.

 
Especially since future content isn't a secret, since we can see reports from KRO players what they've gotten ~_~;

what does " When you use skill as much as refine level, consumed SP will increase. " in new shadow gears description means? Will the "uninterruptable cast" effect work inside WoE or PvP room?

Because it's based on a whim.

 

From watching the forums in the past years and GM responses, it is more like crying loudly until the GMs give in. 

 

It's a bad precedent to just give in just because a few people cry loudly and manage to recruit others to cry along with them.  I remember long ago when Heimdallr and company were going to take the server down briefly outside of maintenance for an update.  Then, a few players cried out to make it a "dynamic" update (update occurs without the game going down) that it would interrupt their game experience instance and managed to recruit their friends to also cry out "insincerely" because I knew some of the people crying out against it and they were just joining in because others were crying out.

 

The GMs gave in and we had that update occur.  Does anyone remember that disastrous database effect where a random item might disappear out of storage?  If you didn't remember what items you had, then no problem, right?   Not always do the players crying out know what is actually best for them.

 

If people want to level their Homunculus loyalty faster, it could be done with that previously suggested "Homunculus Loyalty Manual" where use of that LM causes the loyalty factor to be triple the normal rate.  The LM is similar to the battle manuals except these have a duration of 3 hours each.   Or the GMs could implement something much more whimsical in response to such a whimsical request.  For instance, homunculus loyalty only increases faster in the dark, thus the alchemist would have to move to one of those dark squares in the game and there's certainly enough of them for those who have explored the game.  Or better yet, the "Rebellion Village" that may come online in November might also have such a feature for homunculus loyalty leveling.
