Salsa's Spooky Stories
October 2 - October 26

 

Tales of haunts, hunts, and tricks, oh my! Create a spooky story, and it may be read by Njoror or Varitas on an official stream. We will decide on one story to read for each week. The stream will be on Thursdays at 5-6 PM. At the end of the month, we'll also pick one story or poem to win a grand prize! Story does not have to be picked for reading to be eligible for the grand prize.

Rules

• Entries must be rated PG13 or lower. This means that it is appropriate for children under 13 (with parental guidance).
• "Story" refers to a short story, poem, or other creative writing
• Story must be your own original work created for this contest.
• Story can be submitted in ANY language, but will be translated to English using an automatic translator for the purpose of judging.
• Cover image or banner is not required, but may be submitted if desired.
• Entry should be approximately 300~1000 English words.
• Story should take place within the RO2 Rune-Midgarts universe. Story may optionally include characters that already exist, or may be about original characters.
• Stories may be submitted in this thread or via PM to me, but keep in mind that any story entered may be read on a stream.
• Story should be spooky! (Halloween themed)

Good point. Unfortunately I'm unable to get on the test server right now, but I'll get Njoror or Varitas to grab an image on Monday.

 

The icon for the Zombi Mask should give you a fairly good idea for that, and here's the one for the Zombi Costume. If I remember correctly, the Costume makes it so your character's belly area is actually a skeleton!

These are of the costume, the Zombi Mask is different (this mask is the Freyjan Blue Mask). I'll also see about getting the costume on a female character, Noel characters, and a dyed version.

Once, on the edge of eternity,
As the hours pass becoming,
A pair of eyes watching my steps,
Beyond the bush to my soul,
Lifeless the brightness presence.

Ember immortal you observe,
Under the leaves, eyes in silence.

Sales and money and guilt,
Scam to thirsty and ignorant,
Poisonous fruit for lackeys,
Smiling crimes, he observes.

Alguna vez, en el filo de la eternidad,

        There was no time, me and Nick had to move fast. We paid little attention to the ground as our ankles were being damaged by ripe-prickly patches,  where once yellowing flowers bloom; and now, bright orange pumpkins grew throughout. I don’t know why we didn’t speak a word. We just had to run away from that green haired guy, who wore a silver collar around his neck.

        Nick and I made it safely to our cabin. We switched on the lights and lighted some candles just in case the power went out. I watched Nick as he dusted the window.

       “Looks like nothing is wandering outside,” said Nick. “Whatever he is, we are safe in here, since Lucy the head wizard of Prontera had set-up a barrier against normal fiends.”

       While catching my breath, thoughts in my head ramble about what could occur. What if that strange guy wasn’t some minor monster. Instead of panicking, I decided to look inside my backpack for band-aids, “Our luck sure is rotten. For one why did we save our location here,” said I, as I combed my statically blonde hair. I handed Nick two band-aids. My hands clutched. “This fishing pole serve no purpose now.”  To my eyes, the guy level says fifty. At this very moment, I’m level twenty-five, training under the profession of Knighthood. Nick not much a Priest, his skill tree is more of damage type, but he’s seventeen levels higher than me. The only problem is that Nick was the only one that brought his weapon.

       “Probably that guy just some trickster. Halloween is in two days,” said Nick, who now sat on the lead carved chair. He stretched his orange-tan hands and yawned. “Mary, I will keep watch for the night. In the morning our party will come, I’ve planned for a breakfast at our cabin -- knowing them they are rowdy enough to lighten up the atmosphere.”

        His charcoal colored chair started to tremble, Nick sensed the strangeness and dislodged from his seat. Well, right then a reddish spider had latched onto Nick’s left leg, drawing much of his attention away from the now white chair; as the chair stretched to a waxy material, large opened mouths with sharp fangs formed throughout. Then I saw the many different carnivorous jaws melt into red streak marbled, meaty flesh compacting into a six foot tall creature. Nick now standing up with his mace on hand. There were dark purple-smoke all around us.

        Nick said in commanding voice, “Here, Mary drink this vitality potion.”

        I obliged and as the chalky smoke dissipated. The creature eyes made contact with ours.

       “My name is Bato,” said the creature, with not much skin covering on the left side of his lips. His red glowing eyes sort of look blurry, yet everything on him was sharp and clean --  what seemed silky on Bato's was his black cape that had a ruby-red dye inside; other than that everything seem like metal, including the braids on his scalp. The black haze covering his chest show indentation of muscle forming a worn jumpsuit.

        “Excuse the formal introductions. I know your names, actually I’m the owner of this cabin anyways. Other than serving as a zenny making instrument, this ‘cabin’ is also serve as a portal to the demon world from Frejya.” Bato head turned to the window, he spotted the green haired guy outside. “Ah, there’s the level fifty guy. I know him all too well. An escapee of Frejya’s prison, who was a heretic wanting to sell patches of skins as a sort of blanket.”

        Nick still holding the ornate mace on his left hand. “How we going to defeat that guy outside? Are you going to help us?”

        Bato put his mechanical first index finger on his square chin. “I cannot help. My magical powers only works only in Frejya. Odin is a different atmosphere. The only way you guys can defeat him is to get inside his spirit.”

        Bato handed us some bottle orange concoction. “Drink this and you can teleport into the closest metal collar, which in this case into Ketchulu’s spirit.  Upon entering you guys will engage three waves of monsters. Survive this to reach a ruby-crystal and destroy the crystal. After this, Ketchulu will go back to prison.”

        “Why couldn’t you guys get rid him permanently?” asked Nick, “Then this wouldn’t happened. . . “

        “Frejya got her choices and answers for that."

        So, we drank the one-hour potion and met the first wave of monster which was imps. The second wave became a bit tougher with load of level twenty poorings. That battle was really sticky and the most boring battle ever! The final wave was full of skulls. We reached the crystal where a grand reaper was guarding it. Luckily, Bato had made my fishing rod into a sword.

        “This monster is level thirty-eight. We can handle him,” said Nick, in a casual voice.

        So with a couple of hot-potato provoke from me and a couple of fast highest heal from Nick. We won. The potion waned off. We soon teleported back to our cabin; not seeing bato but the chair was back to normal, even my shiny new sword turned back to a fishing rod. That sword was so cool looking.

Me and Nick look at each other very tiredly.  I was nearly exhausted.

         I took a deep breath, “How are we going to explain all this to our party next morning?”

        “Everything is back to normal. That’s all that count,” said Nick, as he kisses me.

                Fluke, plays with her handle. " This place is boring, I want to go out and explore"

 

 " NO!"She looks up at another pale faced, noel. Her hair is red and pulled into pigtails swirling down the sides of her face, with glassy bright red eyes. Fluke smirks devilishly,

 

  " O hallow you’re a kid stay in, but I am going out" Hallow scrunches up her nose at Flukes words.

 

                “ I am not a kid, and I won't let you go out alone!" Fluke bust into a laugh." Have you seen your height?" Hallow laughs at Fluke.

 

 " You're just as short as me smarty pants" Hallow says to Fluke.

 

 " Seriously though we should go out"

 

Hallow looked into Flukes shiny blue eyes with a little hesitation.

 

 "Where are we going, exactly?"Fluke jumps up in happiness.

 

" Well....I was thinking...Prontera?"Hallow sighs.

 

 "No, Prontera is far away “

 

Fluke sits back down on the tree stump below her and pushing her short dark red hair behind her ears.

 

 " We could make it..." she trailed off with those words, as Re approached.

 

 " Hi Re" Fluke said casually.

 

 " Hi Re"Hallow said. He was a Crecentia. Hallow and Fluke are soul makers, it’s their life to heal others. Crecentia's were the fighters of the noel world.

 

 Re sat down in front of Fluke." Hey Fluke, I heard you said Prontera" Fluke smiled. " I did "said Fluke.

 

                Dan walks over. Dan is Flukes Best friend. He too was a Crecentia,he sat beside Re.

 " Hi Fluke, and everyone else" Everyone exchanged their hello's to Dan.

 

 "So I heard Prontera?" Dan said.

 

 " Yes" Fluke said with adventure in her voice. Re looked around and spotted a Human by the front gates.

               

 " Candy man's in town...must be for Halloween" Hallow said watching the noels running over to the man for lollipops.

                Hallow walked over to the candy man and grabbed 4 lollipops. She walked back over to her friends.

               

 " Enjoy and Happy Halloween". She said, talking out the black and orange lollipop and starts eating. Fluke puts hers in her pocket.

 

 " I'll save for later” Fluke said. Re leans back on the ground comfortably,

 

 

“If we can’t make Prontera theirs is…. the school of humans?”Re said.

 

 “ Yes lets go explore the human’s school” Dan says excitedly.

 

“Are we going to get into trouble? Hallow ask. Fluke looks at hallow calmly.

 “

Of course not, were just walking around….” Fluke said.

 

                Hallow nods, as well as Re and Dan.

 

 " So well go tomorrow.” They each go to their own huts and night passes into morning. Bang- Bang- Bang Bang, Re knocks on Hallows door.

 

  "Come on Hallow, remember human school..." Re said. The area was dead silence. He got an eerier chill down his spine. He knocked on her door again. He moved away from her door. To her window to peek inside.

 

                " I hope you’re not hiding, so you can avoid this". He looked inside and saw the place looked extremely damaged the lamp was flickering on the floor and the back door was open. Re took out his scythe and walked to her back door.

 

 " Hallow......Hallow is everything ok?" He asked cautiously.

 

 Re pushed open the back door just enough to see the light on the floor flicking away but the room was in complete darkness. He hears a noise and walks towards it, picking up the lamp to help light up the room better. Hallow comes into his eye sight walking towards him slowly.

 

  " Ok, not funny Hallow" She keeps walking towards him slowly. He moves up to her and puts his scythe away. Grabbing her shoulder, using his right hand to pick up her chin. Her eyes were hallowed out, a dull red not bright like usual. Her face was sunken in; her body was extremely cold.

 

  " Hallow...are you ok?" She put her head on his shoulder.

 

 "mmmmm" she moaned. Re was confused, he'd never seen a noel sick like this before.

 

 "umm well get you some help...Hall" is all he could get out before.  A sharp pain ripped through his shoulder, she was biting him hard.

 

                Hallow was biting into Re's shoulder, causing him menace about of pain and some bleeding. He pushed her back hard.

 

  " Hallow…. NO! What is wrong with you!" Hallow looks back at him and makes her way towards him again. Re realizes he has no choice but to take out his weapon and defend himself. He takes out his scythe and swings towards her legs.

 

 He cuts her right leg; she looks down at her leg where it is cut. She lets out an angry hissing growl. He rush's out the back door and falls, hitting the ground hard. Dropping his weapon to his right side, while holding his left shoulder.

 

                Hallow slowly walking towards him, still hissing, gritting her bloody teeth at him. He knew he had to escape, reaching for his weapon, while crawling backwards. He throws down land of darkness, pushing himself to his feet finally. He runs, hearing other noels screaming out of fear. It wasn't just Hallow who had become sick. Others had too.

 

                Fluke quickly grabs Re’s hand and pulls him behind another hut.

 

 “Are you hurt?” she asked Re. He nods his head in pain. She gives him a look of fear.

 “You’re going to become one of them “she said to him. Re didn’t understand,

 

  “What? How?” Fluke pulled away.

 “I am sorry Re but I have to go. “Fluke said.

 

                “Please tell me why am going to be one of them” Re asked, Fluke sat down beside him.

 

 “Any one bit, or scratched…becomes one…. “she said with fear in her voice. Fluke looked around at the others gathering, heading toward the gate. Re got up from behind the hut.

 

Re grabs Fluke, he hisses. Fluke pushes Re to the ground and runs towards the gate.

"Just for fun. Ooohh! Let's kill Eddga!" Pikui suggested inviting Sage to the party.

 

"I'll join on my cres," Flukes said.

 

"Me too. I have 200khp now. We. Got. This." Lharge bragged. Joining the party. "Should we get one more? Maybe Prins?"

 

"He's AFK. Invite MidnightThirst. She's available."

 

"We have a full party! Let's do this!" They gathered, fully buffed and waiting for Lharge to take aggro. "Ready?" he asked. "I'm going in then."

 

He ran forwards, turning Eddga around as the others went up behind him. The party was doing well. The heals were great and the attacking was nonstop. "I honestly thought this would be harder!" Pikui murmured into her mic.

 

"Oh! Happy Halloween," Sage wished melodiously. "Anyone going trick or treating?"

 

Fluke laughed loud and heartily, "I am a grown ass man. I don't go trick or treating."

 

"Age is just a number," Midnight piped up.

 

"Yea man. I should go. As Batman!" Lharge chuckled. "Hey get ready!" A warning came up on their screens, Eddga was preparing to lift up the land. Popping a pump-it-up pill Pikui circled the beast, activating her armor. The attack pasted, half healthing a few of them but highness heal crit healed for 125k. "Man I love priests."

 

"Forget Batman," Pikui said, "I wanna go as Eddga. After we kill him I'll skin him for his hide," the party collectively laughed. "How cool would that be?"

 

'How cool would that be?' Echoed above on the screen written in red letters dripping ooze sliding down her screen.

 

"Whoa... are you guys-"

 

"Yea wtf?"

 

"Maybe it's a Halloween event?"

 

"But how? We're in RC..." Fluke said.

 

"It doesn't matter. He's lifting up the land again." They ymired, anticipating the attack. Eddga was half health, they were confident they could kill him without wiping.

 

'Skin my hide?' Slid across the screen. Pikui was scared and impressed. How were the devs doing that? Eddga swiped his massive hands across the ground ripping the pixels to pieces thrashing and tearing into the ground. Lharge, the closest to the rampaging beast was hit first. The bear flying across the screen and out of sight. Lharge screamed into his mic. Howling in pain.

 

"Lharge?" Sage called, her voice frantic.

 

"Dude! Lharge what the hell man?" He kept screaming though. Pikui tried to move her arms from her keyboard to rip her headphones out but they wouldn't budge. From the blackness of the pixelated holes Eddga's claws had made, crawled Kushinada. Her kimono in tatters. Her mouth cut to entend in a cruel permanent smile. Grotesquely sewed to her side was her spirit. It's head rearing up from the hole, cackling as it soared into the sky dragging Kushinada's limp body with it before dropping to the ground.

A bell chimed. Footsteps pounded on the ground. Pikui's char turned around. The TongTong on her head burrowed in her hair, no longer bouncing. Pikui struggled, tears filling her eyes as she tried to pull her skin free from the keyboard.

 

She watched in horror as her character slapped her palms on the screen. Her blue eyes dull and horrified, reflecting her controllers own terror. "Run," she sobbed. "Run," she echoed. Screaming she slammed her hands again and again.

 

"I don't think this is a-" Whatever Fluke was saying was cut off as the CatONineTails appeared. Swinging her mighty bell, slamming it into his crecentia smashing her to the ground. The cracks of broken bones, the sound of choking and gurgling sounded through her headphones.

 

"Fluke..." Sage called weakly. Kushinada's spirit's head shot out. Wrapping around Sage's body. Coiling around her as it twirled and spun into the air.

 

"Sage!" Midnight screamed. "What the hell is this?"

 

'I smell...' Eddga drawled, turning to the frightened priest whose char was held in place by his snare. 'Puny Human,'  He raised a hand high into the air.

 

"No..." Pikui muttered tears streaming down her eyes as she watched. Heart wrenching as she listened to both Sage and her char scream, being tortured by the spirit. Kushinada herself cackling beside Eddga stroking the side of her face.  She tried to move, a hand, a finger. Anything would do. But her terror rooted her place. Her char had long given up.

 

Eddga's claws gleamed in the sunshine, his hand blocking the view of a blue sky. He struck down, slicing clean through the priest and into the ground below her. It took a few seconds for her to die. She turned to Pukui looking through the screen to the player as the light died from her eyes. Blood gushed out as the halves of her body slide apart. Thudding on the ground, one half slid into the abyss of blackness.

 

'And then there was one.' Eddga grinned mouth full of fangs, his pipe perched pricariously on his lip. The CatONineTails cackled beside him stooping down to poke at Fluke's body with the tip of a claw. He made no sounds and he did not move. A crack from above and Sage's body was falling. Her headphones were quiet now. The feel of her heart racing in her chest, blood rushing in her ears. 'Wear my hide?'

 

His hand shot out grabbing the edge of her computer screen denting it. Eddga pulled himself up with one powerful jump. The other hand coming though the screen. He pulled his torso free and snarled. Her teeth rattled in her head. She sucked in air, one last attempt to call for help. Her scream stuck in her throat as Eddga's claws ripped though her, splitting skin and grating bone, gouging her stomach, ripping it open. A torrent of blood and entrails spilling out. Blood gurgled in her mouth, bubbling up and spilling from a corner as her head lolled to the side. Choking and coughing, sputtering she spat blood. Eddga licked the blood from his claws. Kushinada trilling, her spirit cackling and the CatONineTails giggling.

It doesn't have to be spooky or scary, but it should be Halloween-themed. So it could just be a cute story about dressing up in costume to go trick-or-treating.

Certo dia um garoto chamado Jessy trouxe sua amiga Sohee para acampar, e ver as estrelas, ele a amava muito, e queria uma oportunidade para se declarar.

   No cair da noite, jesse foi buscar lenha e Sohee ficou preparando a barraca, enquanto coletava galhos, ele se deparou com um estranho cemitério, curioso, Jesse foi observar o local, perto de uma cabana existia um tumulo com uma flor linda de petalas brancas, apenas pensando em presentear Sohee, ele puchou a rosa e levou desesperadamente a sua amada.

   Quando Jesse chegou no local, não encontrou nada, nenhum sinal de Sohee, ou de suas coisas, desesperado pediu socorro, e começou a busca pela sua amada, dias e noites ele a procurava, até que ele reencontrou o cemitério, e começou a ouvir uma voz chorando, lá ele encontra várias almas, e fica assustado, mas com sua força de vontade,seguiu a voz até a cabana , onde ele continuava a ouvir a voz estranha, quando ele chega ao local, encontra a Rosa Branca, a mesma que ele pegou para sua amada,e no tumulo estava escrito Sohee.

Rune midgard is known to have mystical creatures Mermaids, Ogres, Dragons and Fairies. I will tell you a story of a fairy who lived in between Verta Delta and Sograt Desert the Sandial Queen. She’s known to posses a massive wing; huge antenea; skillful dodge and a very strong attack.

 

What we don’t know is that she once lived a normal life. Her real name was Sandy, a normal young lady who lived in Maple forest with her family. She was one of those kind heart citizen of midgard who is always there to help less fortunate people. She dedicated her life in aiding people who is in need. She worked hard to support people, kids look up to her as she is their older sister. She’s fond of telling stories to children about fairies who live in the magical trees of Maple forest.

 

But life is not always fair, an envy magician put a curse on her when she failed to give what the magician needs. Sandy begged for her life, but it was too late. There is no way for to redeem herself. She was cursed of turning her against human not to help them anymore but to destroy them.

 

The magician’s curse was so strong that even if he was killed by people the spell was not broken. It actually became worst. People who love her tried everything to cure her as if it was a decease. Even the best Sorcerer offered to help Sandy but still she grew a big antenea, an enormous wings that could turn a building down with just one movement. She was also turned into something inhuman a Monster.

 

The lady with a helping hand was turned in as cruel monster that will not think twice of killing pass anyone pass her.

Touko's birthday is on Halloween, which is today. She is very excited, both because she loves the holiday, and because she's out with some friends at Alberta's shopping district. While they're walking along, something catches Touko's attention.

 

"Oh look!" Touko exclaims, "those dolls are so pretty!"

 

"Really?" Arby asks, "I think it's kinda creepy...."

 

"Nah, it's just traditional," explains Galmer. "Here, I'll buy it for you, Touko."

 

"Oh, no! I could never ask you to do that for me."

 

"No worries, I'd feel bad if I didn't get you something!"

 

After a few hours of shopping, the three decided to head back to Touko's place and set up their haunted house. They set one up every year for the neighborhood kids - complete with fake spider webs and boxes for the kids to reach in and feel things like eyeballs (actually peeled grapes) and brains (wet spaghetti). Before the three knew it, families were knocking at the door. The dark lighting, creepy costumes, and creepy voices of the hosts all contributed to the feel of the haunted house. Nobody was actually scared, but everybody was having a great time.

 

Suddenly, an anguished cry reverberated through the room. "This is unfair! What did I do wrong?!"

 

Touko turned the lights on and looked around, expecting to see an upset child, but everyone seemed just as confused as she was. She turned the lights off again.

 

Sobbing was heard. "Cursed flames... cursed flames...! They're so pretty, aren't they?"

 

This time, there was no need to turn the lights on. Purple flames started floating around in the air. Galmer's eyes went wide. "Everybody out!" he said, as firmly as possible. Touko turned the lights on so they could get everyone outside safely. As soon as the lights turned on, the sobbing stopped and the flames disappeared.

 

"What's going on?!" Arby demanded, "that was REALLY creepy, and I don't remember planning it!"

 

Touko and Galmer looked at each other and nodded. They knew exactly what happened.

 

"I bet it was the doll from earlier," Touko explained as she took it down from the shelf it had been placed on. She still thought the doll was really pretty, with pink and peach layered robes, dark reddish hair, and ribbons flowing from her hairdo. It was really detailed at the very least. "It must be one of those ancient possessed dolls. Then again, that's really strange. Possessed dolls are usually unique items, but that shop must have had hundreds of them, just like this one!"

 

At this, they all looked up at each other. "Oh no... what if they're all possessed?"

Title: "The true story of Kiel"

 It all started in the first betas of the game when it wasn't yet possible to thoroughly playing it.

The story of Zeras and Kiel, the two best friends, fought side by side to maintain peace in the Midgart.

Zeras always thought his friend Kiel was a little strange, a little dark perhaps. But he never paid much attention to it. The countless times Kiel helped Zeras, leading Zeras to trust him... Big mistake it was.

 

 

On a mission, the King of Prontera, ordered Kiel and Zeras to kill the "Gremlins" and "Goblins" attacking a small town. It was not such a complicated and dangerous mission; however Zeras had a strange feeling about it. Careless to those feelings, Kiel and Zeras left for the mission.

On their arrival to the village, they stopped and talked to the citizens, to collect the necessary information and carried on to the areas described to them. It did not take long to find the lair of the creatures. Even though they weren't many, they were still enough to disturb the peace of the citizens. The battle didn't last long; perhaps it took only an hour to end it all. After Zeras finished, he tried looking for his friend Kiel but he couldn’t find him around. He asked soldiers if they had seen him but the answer was always negative. He started to look around but he couldn’t find him. While searching he ran into a strange child with a face white as snow, which caught his eye. Zeras approached the child and asked if he had seen his friend. The boy only nodded his head and ran. Zeras followed him but the boy was running too fast, and shortly he lost sight of the boy and reached an abandoned building. Curiosity is not always a good thing in a person, but Zeras wanted to find his "friend" so bad, so he entered the abandoned building ... Big mistake again.

 

 

 

It was so dark, with just the rays of light passing through small cracks, which could not illuminate beyond one meter. Zeras heard piercing screams from the bottom of the building, frightened he took his sword and he advanced. While looking sharply, a little light let him see with some clarity. He entered the first room and saw something terrible, any normal person would be scared to see that "thing", but the courage of Zeras didn’t stop him and continued moving forward. Equipments and machines of tortures throughout the room, bloodstains and weird things made Zeras even more worried for his "friend". Another scream broke the moment; Zeras left the room and continued his progress.

 

What he saw this time was even worse than what he had seen earlier, in each room he entered, he saw amputated parts of human bodies, while he listened to the wails and sobs. Zeras seeing and hearing such terrible things was slowly losing his mind.

His body trembled to watch that horror. The desire to save his "friend" has already been lost. Screams, cries, laments, and only one minute of silence, and suddenly a familiar voice brought him back to reality.

Zeras immediately knew who he was, so he quickly turned around to see him but the darkness of the place did not allow him to see clearly. Zeras, focused on the enigmatic presence that was in front of him and ran to meet him. The more he approached the more he noticed something weird about the body, his features and measures weren't like he remembered. He thought it was the atmosphere and the light that has clouded his vision, but he kept running. Arriving in front of him, he froze; a chill ran down his spine, sweat covered his sight again. He wanted to run but his body did not respond, just trembled at the presence of "him". Kiel's face was completely different, white, expressionless, and parts of his skin torn. His hands had claws like a demon and each side had masks with him. In his right hand was holding a head of a person, his clothes were covered by bloodstains. Zeras wanted to scream but his voice did not come out.

 

 

The ironic laughter of Kiel at Zeras, brought him to sanity. He knew he had to end his friend’s life there. In a fleeting movement Zeras thrust his sword on Kiel. He thought his nightmare was over but Kiel was still laughing. Zeras backed scared and in a blink of an eye Kiel moved his left hand. Zeras did not realize what Kiel did and tried to attack him again, but he couldn’t feel his sword... He looked over his right shoulder, and realized he has lost his right arm. Pain flooded Zeras and he started running towards the exit.

 

Zeras thought it was over but again he sees Kiel and found himself in the same place; he realizes he had not even left the room yet. Kiel kept on laughing and Zeras fell further in dementia. Kiel moved his left hand again and this time took the other arm of Zeras. He fell to his knees. He didn't know if the pain threshold had already passed or losing his mind kept him from feeling anything. Kiel one more time approached him, smiled again and whispered something in his ear. For a second Zeras looked around. There were a host of heads in flasks in the room, he turned his head to look at Kiel, but the room gave a turn and he ended up looking at Kiel’s feet...

 

Since then, every night Kiel is just sitting and waiting for a new victim to arrive...

I’ve been told I need to write something scary.   So here is my attempt. 

 

Scrape: Part 1

Scrape.

 

 

His eyes opened.  Had he heard something?  His head turned into the darkness.  The moon’s rays peeking through the curtains.  The room was silent.  The blues giving the room the room the restful bliss he had so wished for.   He had been adventuring all day.  Not the best day, but he did get a few trinkets he planned to sell in Prontera tomorrow.   He gave the room another glance then turned over to go back to sleep.

 

Scraaaaaaape.

 

 

His eyes popped open once again.  He heard that this time.  He sat up quickly and grabbed his sword.   The room was still.  Nothing was moving, but this sounded closer.  This sounded like it was in the room.   He checked along the floors, just in case it was rodent dragging something along the floor.  That’s probably what it was he told himself.   There was nothing though.   The room consisted of his bed, a chair, dresser and a small table, but not much else.   He looked at his armor and it was still.   There was the bag of loot, but he didn’t see I moving.

 

Scraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaape. 

 

This time he was awake for it.   It was in front of him, but his eyes deceived him.  There was nothing.   His heart stopped.  His blood went cold.  He could feel it looking at him.  Watching him.  The silence suddenly become deafening as he strained to hear anything.  Then he realized, he could hear a labored breath.
