Hi guys, I just want to share what I put on Trello Board.
I know some of this suggestions are already mention on previous topics. I only put them here and revised some of them, I been playing Ranger for 5 years + and I play AA type. Feel free to add suggestions or comments, but please no flaming. We are here to talk about Ranger's Skills improvement and balance.
Skill Suggestions:
Range Extension Skill
I know most Rangers will agree that Range Extension is kinda useless without the buffs of Tempest. My suggestion is make this Passive Skill and removed the negative effect. Also remove the DNA, I don't think someone even use the DNA It's just a waste of DNA points.
Poison Bomb Firing Skill
The negative effect of Poison Bomb Firing is too much for a Ranger. The +113 on attack and -226 defense at level 10 is not worth to use it. I think reducing the negative effect by 50% is fair enough.
The Strengthened Poison Bomb Firing DNA is not worth to invest you will lose -904 defense for +113 on attack not worth, reducing the negative effect by 50% is fair enough.
Stealth Detection Skill
Stealth Detection should be 50m range at level 10, 38m is kinda useless. Or just change current DNA to add the range of the Stealth Detection.
Additional Suggestion:
Assassin Stealth Skill description is hide under the cover of darkness and be immune to Halt, Sleep, Fear and Stun.
I'm thinking Ranger should be immune to "Brutal Scud" since Ranger can see them right?
Uppercut Skill
Current Uppercut Skill = 3 secs stun duration with 40 secs cool down.
I'm thinking making it 5 sec stun with 40 secs cool down or 3 secs stun duration with 15-20 secs cool down.
With this change Ranger can still have a chance at least to escape from the enemy and find his range to prepare another attack. Compare to other class Ranger can only use his stun once. His lucky enough if he can use the the same stun twice while engage to the enemy.
Head Shot Skill
Decrease the target's present HP at a chance.
Base on my personal experience with this skill it's sucks! The success chance is not indicated but it always fail. That is why I never use it on PVP it's just a waste of points.
I did something testing out of 8 only 1 is success. Not worth to use.
I'm suggesting Evasion and Accuracy should play for this skill. Accuracy vs Evasion. If the target don't have enough evasion this skill should hit them. And damage is base on the distance of the target and the shooter.
10m 50% damage on HP
20m 40% damage on HP
30m 30% damage on HP
40m 20% damage on HP
50m 10% damage on HP
Bugged Skill:
High-Angle Firing
High-Angle Firing at level 10 should be instant cast + level 10 of DNA. But because of animation it makes it a bit delay. I reported this last year but still the same problem. It's Better remove the animation because it should not be casting anymore if you use level 10 DNA on this skill.
General Suggestions:
DEX Stats
DEX (Dexterity) Description:
Every 5 DEX adds 1 Long Range Physical Attack Damage.
Every 1 DEX adds 0.2 Accuracy.
Every 1 DEX adds 0.2 Evasion.
Every 1 DEX adds 0.00725% ~ 0.01125% Critical Chance depending on class.
I think it's better if we double the Accuracy and Evasion from DEX. It will help Ranger a bit. I know someone people already suggested add CAD but I don't think it's appropriate for DEX, but if it's possible why not.
Compare to STR and INT that adds CAD and SCAD, DEX benefit is less.
STR (Strength)
Every 5 STR adds 1 Short Range Physical Attack Damage.
Every 5 STR adds 1 Critical Additional Damage.
INT (Intelligence)
Every 1 INT adds roughly 0.3 Magic Damage
Every 5 INT adds 1 Skill Critical Additional Damage.
Every 1 INT adds to the base resistance (to all elements)
Ranger's PB
We all know Ranger is AA class, PB is kinda useless in PVP compare to other class PB's. My normal damage is higher than I'm in PB mode. I can't think for now what is the best, because I know other job will be affected if they change Xenoa PB to be an AA damage. We need to revise something on Ranger's PB.
Ranger's DNA that needs revision or totally removed.
Rapid Diversionary Firing:
-The description is incorrect it say's casting time. It should be re-casting Time because the cool down is the one that get reduced not the casting time.
Sniper Coolness:
-Need to revise since the skill is now 15 mins.
Swift Poison Bomb:
-Poison Bomb Firing is now instant cast now.
Swift Shock Firing:
- Success Rate of Shock Firing -10 at level 1
I really don't know what is the purpose of this DNA there's Accuracy of Shock Firing which increase the success rate by %
