Hey guys,

I have a level 71 dealer, and I've just been keeping all my materials in my storage... but for all I know I'm storing a bunch of trash!

Are their any particular materials that I should be keeping? and particular materials that are complete trash?

Or is there a way I can determine what to keep by looking at the items quality ?

I know 'dirties' are valuable, and things like essence/ether/elixer.

Any input is appreciated!!

Are you considering crafting?

With the drop table change, some items have become really common:

Generally the materials to craft the few good items in these pages are good to keep.

The demand for wing materials are worth the most to players from what I observed.

People don't really pick up materials anymore, metals, woods, cloth are often obtained from disassembling weapons or armor instead of farming specific monsters.

Bone materials, animal pieces, and monster family type drops are often not worth keeping.

Lastly, there are some odd materials used in ammo crafting.

Hi! You didn't mention whether you are planning to be an artisan or if you're just wondering which mats have the best resale value but I can answer your question generally at least.

As you said, the "dirty" items can always be sold, either by vending them yourself or selling them to someone else. If you plan to just sell them, keep them as dirty. Once you "clean" them, then you will have to try to sell them individually and some of them are not as valuable as others. Also, cleaned they take up a lot more space (there are 10 different rune stones and 10 different zodiac stones for example). Chemicals (like essence, elixir etc) can also always be sold. Be sure to check around for the best price each time because the shops and prices change constantly.

For the rest- first take a quick trip to see Kiroth. He is one of the three NPC's towards the back of Junon Polis (on the way to the lighthouse). Anything he sells in his shop is something you don't have to keep because an artisan can just go buy a stack from him when they need something. He sells up to quality 34 of wood, cloth, leather and metal and some other assorted things. Anything else can only be obtained from monster drops or disassembling equipment. I've got an artisan but I am also cheap... err... frugal... so I keep pretty much all of my drops. However a lot of arti's prefer to just disassemble when they need something. It's a personal choice.

There are a few drops that you can always either sell to an NPC or not bother picking up at all. Off the top of my head- those ancient coins (bronze, silver, and gold) and also rusty bell, colorful paper, match and ripped book. Those are not used for anything from what I've seen. I'm sure there are more that I just can't remember atm.

Anyway, don't know if this helps you or not but feel free to pm me here or whisper to me in game on HoneyBuns or Sulky if you have any questions and I'll be glad to try to help. :)

Thank you both so much, I appreciate your time!

To answer both of your questions, I do not plan on this character being an artisian, but instead a bourg to gather my materials generally for resale.

But in the future, I may create an artisian in which case I'd need to stock up on my materials.

Thanks again!

Here is my take on the issue. It's all money in one form or another. Check the shops to see what mats people are buying. You definitely want to keep those. If you are going for an artisan, most of the mats you get you can use for something. Whatever you can't use, just sell to an NPC, or if a player is buying them, sell to him. I keep some of the "trash" mats, because of possible changes coming in the future. You just never know what they will decide to use to create new items. :)

What Pam said. You can make $10000000000 a month from only 4 hours a day on your computer! My mom's sister's niece's dog's vet's therapist's grocer's personal shopper gave up her job and she made $35 last month! Go to warpportal.com and sign up now! You cant afford to miss this opportunity!

For an artisan in the future, carefully set up your storage for all useful materials (chems, s. stones, ores, runes, blades, crystals, metals, stone materials, textiles, leathers, face item mats etc) and use another storage for non-essential mats, event drops and things not currently valued.

No need to get snippy. I never said you would get rich, but the zulie you get can help you maintain your armors, weapons, and stuff.

Sometimes my jokes are too involved and they just WHOOSH!! over people's heads. Sad. No-one was "getting snippy" or even talking about getting rich, lol.
