Hey there.

 

This is like the 3rd time I'm trying to make a Hindsight Sage > Soul Fist Sorcerer.

What always stumps me is the beginning, because with this class, the order in which you add skills and stats IS important. Because if you mess it up it'll take longer to get good results.

 

So as I am now, I started fresh Mage. I haven't yet added stats and I'm still sitting lv 6/1 in Izlude, and I'm not moving anywhere untill I get things straight.

 

In which order should I get skills? Get the Frost Diver>Lightening Bolt combo first? Or max SP regen first?

In which order should I get stats? Go 99 INT right off the bat? Or maybe put some into INT, Then Dex, then INT again?

 

I'm using michaeleeli's "Sorcerer'sGuide to Sorcerery" for SF Sorc reference, but that's for way later. For Sage I'm thinking:

STR: 1
AGI: 29
VIT: 2
INT: 99
DEX: 99
LUK: 1

Skill build? No bloody idea. Anything to get me to 99/50 ASAP.

I know, I thought I could make some adjustments. And I'm really confused now as which path to choose. I heard that Wizards are good until 3rd class, but Sorcerers are better when they hit 3rd class.

 

I personally like to one-shot enemies, I always play solo, I'm not into PvP, and I think soloing MVP's would be nice but it's not really required.

 

So should I rather go Wizard?

i went firewall/fire bolt/ball on my mage. Killing mobs fast isnt exactly a sorc's forte and as far as i know killing mvps for locs isnt exactly a walk in the park either.

Stat wise i went int/dex then once dex was at around 40 i started pumping agi for 99 sage try to go 9X int/9X agi/ 40+ dex rest str(for weight if needed) or luk(matk).

 

Spellfist is a sorc's burst damage for mvping and you can switch to cast redux gears to instac cast pw for mobbing.

Ok so this is my build (note that this is Sage only, I won't be using this when I trans): here

I started with 9 in agi,int and dex, and currently I'm 8/8 with 10 agi/dex, 15 int.

So since I'm going hindsighter for this stage, at which point should I start pumping agi? Around 40-50 int? And how much till switching to other stats?

 

PS I'm asking that because my first character in RO was a SIN, and I was basically brought up on this guide, namely in Distributing Stats section ^^; So I really love this step-by-step stat distributing format

focus int dex as a mage, once your dex is about 40ish stop adding to it and start with agi.

Firewall not much use for hindsight sage. I would prefer investing your skill points on AOE like fireball or Thunderstorm. Fireball very useful for mobbing in Orc Village later. If you want to be able to participate in TI, I suggest you put some other AOE like Thunderstorm or Heaven Drive. Yes, you would be like a regular caster Sage, but if you want to leveling fast, Thunderstorm or Heaven Drive is necessary. I used to be AGI Sage HS too, and find it hard to find party in TI, so I solo a lot. But if you love solo play like I do, you can forfeit AOE. Once you become Scholar, you can party in TI even without AoE (use Soul Exhale)

A teensy update, heheh ^^;

 

I honestly don't know why hasn't it occured to me earlier to download some high exp rate RO client and test what fits me more out there. After testing Sage/Scholar/Sorc I thought "The heck, this is what I'm painfully grinding for?!". No way Jose. It seems Sage ain't for me.

 

But Wizzie is OMG when I tested out them skills I was simply amazed XD So I think I'll go Wiz after all. My current stats are 28 AGI/40 INT/50 DEX so nothing bad's happened yet, and the extra agi won't hurt.

 

So sorry for causing you headache people XD

 

So I think my stats at lv99 will be:

 

STR: 11

AGI: 28

VIT: 60

INT: 99

DEX: 50

LUK: 31

what's the str for? additionally you might want to invest some points in either fire or safety wall.
