I enjoy finding out new information that is the design concept of the worlds of ROSE and their inhabitants. Figured I'd share what I find here n there that can be interesting.

 

Heburkal, Seven Sinners, Seven Knights and the Thorn of Seclude [Seclusion?] and King Loderic

Heburkal:

Heburkal is one of the most feared monsters in all of Arua's planets. He is one of Hebarn's seven sinners and he has caused great devastation in Junon Polis before.

 

Long Ago, Heburkal was of a docile magical race called Brintos. Created by Arua, the Brintos lived peacefully in the lands of Hebarn. Then their rivals, a race of Hebarn scholars began to experiment on Heburkal's people, for the sake of understanding the manipulation of malice in the dark planet. Heburkal's family and brethren were butchered for the cause, and his persona was turned to evil forever. 

 

Ever since the Hebarn scholars [performed] experiments on him, Heburkal's rage makes his darkness grow. And the darker his power, the deadlier he becomes. What Heburkal hates the most, is the planet Hebarn and its people. So, anyone related to the planet Hebarn could make him stronger just by being near. Remember this, [name], For when it comes time to fight Heburkal, any travelers from Hebarn must be very far from here[Heburkal's location] in order for you to defeat him!

 

Seven sinners:

When Hebarn turned against Arua, he knew he wouldn't be able to steal the dark planet on his own. Hebarn recruited the power of the seven most deadly monsters from across the worlds, and together, they made the planet Hebarn what it is today.

 

Seven Knights:

The seven heroes of Junon were the ones that eventually imprisoned Hebarn's Seven Sinners to finally bring peace to the worlds. 

 

Imprisoned:

The Seven Knights were able to create a prison powerful enough to hold Heburkal and his six monster companions. The Thorn of Seclude. Only the power of the Seven Hearts would be able to break the prison.

 

More:

When Hebarn found out about the heaven that Arua had created for her visitors, the god of jealousy sought out to possess [the] Seven Hearts. He used all his power to hide [the] Seven Hearts inside of his planet. From there, he was able to use the Seven Hearts' power to release his Sinners and destroy the Thorn of Seclude. But rumor has it that the Thorn of Seclude isn't destroyed at all. Sages from different planets say that Hebarn has merged Seven Hearts with the Thorn of Seclude and it is there where he holds the Seven Knights prisoners to this very day.

 

Arumic Rumors:

They dabble on studying the arts of dark magic from time to time. They would know more about protecting ourselves from such a being. [Heburkal]

 

Hebarn's Rival Race:

".. sorry it was too long ago to remember, and far too horrific to mention. One would recognize the Hebarn scholar race descendants today however, by their affinity with riding odd mounts" [Probly a hint at Queen Kira]

 

King Loderic :

I will not tell you where the King is! The hidden location of Junon's most valuable -treasure- should not be discussed lightly! You just concern yourself with protecting Junon, Alright?

[ Ferrel Bank Guard] Arnold "Well, the largest vault also happens to protect Junon most valuable -treasure- *grin*

[ Soooo, putting these two texts together means King Loderic is hiding in the largest bank vault of the Ferrel Guild Bank?]

Im probly one of the very few who've actually gone through the entire hero quest and many others just to read the lore. Not sure why that comes as a surprise though o.O

Oh, you misunderstood. You being a ROSEnerd is not news. You doing something like this for no directly observable benefit to yourself is noteworthy. Kudos.

Thanks for sharing! It's nice to know more about this.

 

As a fan of RPGs and, well, a ton of other things seen in my page, I always love to extract all piece of lore and dialogue from the stuff I play, especially if it's interesting. I still have not taken my time to do the same with ROSE, and thus it's a bit hard to piece together information when you know you've skipped some.

 

I noticed some parts of the lore are only accessed by playing other classes, especially during the job change part. (I have no idea whom of the Knights will be represented or shown in the Hawker class advancement quest). Makes it interesting all the more.

 

Once again, thanks for sharing! I do hope, if ever, not goading but hoping, that the story will be completed. A true end through story, if I may say so. It just feels sad when something interesting isn't finished (yet).

Well the Hero Quest [main quest] just sets you up to fight on Hebarn [for or against] but there's been statements that you're not supposed to be able to choose to fight for Hebarn, only against him? so, we'll see where it goes. I personally think it should stay as it is, cause it adds more conflict to the game n such.
