Can you give specific examples of suggestions you have made of the costume designs you would like to see? I'm not sure exactly which costume suggestions you are referring to here.

Also, we do currently have a costume contest going on that allows players to design costumes, and if there is a specific theme you would like to see for those, you can send me a PM and I'll try to add it in for a future theme.

Like I said, not interested in looking like a wimp or a ninny. I'd be happy to get more costumes if they had a 'feeling' of strength to them. I'm not saying the work is of poor quality, it's my personal opinion that I'd never be caught dead wearing a butterfly suit...

That's a fallacy and we all know it. Most Rosarians are patrons and veterans that have been playing the game for the last 4-10 years and most almost 20+ years old.

Thank you for the suggestions! If you have other suggestions (or if anyone else does) we would love to hear them as well!

It's not really constructive to put down the current costumes in favor of your own however. Some players will like the butterfly costumes, and some will not, as liking a specific look is a matter of opinion. We are always open to future costume suggestions (especially specific suggestions, I love the idea of a Lumberjack costume set). Is there a specific look would you prefer to see for a Ranger, Gladiator or Dark Knight set?

Scottish set?

I get that it's your job to be neutral etc, you're not the first one to obviously butt heads with me on the subject but I will be clear. I'm not putting the costumes down. As you stated, 'it's a matter of opinion' and my opinion is that I don't like the look on my own character. I never said others look stupid for wearing it, I said I would feel stupid for wearing it. There seems to be a massive lack of understanding in one representing their own self in the context and them being opinionated of others. I never once said other people would look bad in them, I said I won't wear them for I would feel like I look that way. Stop twisting my words in defense of an artist that I never attacked, or others that I never wronged.

And there you go with the cute cat business again -.-

Spoiler

That would be a more appropriate look for a Scottish Warrior.

I understand you just want to state your opinion Feuer, but you are putting the costumes down. I am not twisting your words when I say this, there is no positive way to take 'wimpy' or 'ninny', and such descriptions are unnecessary as a way of expressing your dislike for these costume options. By using these descriptive choices when referring to these costumes, even just about yourself, you are portraying this as how you see these costumes overall, which includes other players who wear these costumes. It's not necessary and it is not constructive.

It's perfectly constructive, you can construct that not everyone is so fond of the costumes. I mean, you want me to say it looks girly? Cause that would be a sexist statement. Gay? Well nope that's obviously not cool either. I chose very very bland words that invoke a simple feeling of lack of power. It's not insulting, it's just what it is by default of the English language's constructs. They're adjectives.

And how else am I supposed to describe them if I can't use any negative adjectives? I dont like these because they make me feel _____, very _______ and I wouldn't want to be seen this way by others. You fill the blanks.

Stating things that would also be negative to say does not actually make what you said previously less negative. You don't have to describe the outfit at all. But if you feel like you really have to describe a costume you don't like in order to promote a theme you do want to see in the game, you could always go with "I don't like these because they don't make me feel ready for battle. I would like to see costumes that make me feel more intimidating!"

And try to keep an open mind. After all, nobody ever suspects the butterfly =)

People complain when the same old sets are put in the Lucky Spin... so then a new set is added ... and... some people complain about that too.  It really makes me laugh.  No one forces you to use any costume- it's everyone's personal decision. If you don't like it then don't get it. Simple as that. There are plenty of sets that I don't like personally but I don't post to ridicule the folks that do like them. I simply don't get them.

I do have to comment on the discussion about looking "manly" or "girly" tho. Seems to me that if a guy wants to look manly, he will be using a male charater. If (for w/e reason) he uses a female character, then it would be assumed that he wants the character to look feminine.  As a female (both in-game and irl) I can definitely say that girls do NOT want to look masculine or bulky, not even in a game.

If you look at the sets that have been in the Lucky Spin- it's pretty balanced overall with some definitely masculine, some definitely feminine and most either neutral or with different looks depending on the character's gender. Honestly, I don't see anything to complain about.

You don't have to describe the outfit at all. But if you feel like you really have to describe a costume you don't like in order to promote a theme you do want to see in the game,

whoa whoa, when did I say that? I described my FEELINGS about what I would feel wearing the outfit. I didn't describe the outfit as a sissy, I said I don't want to look like a sissy wearing* it [on me]. jesus, how hard is it to understand I telling you I don't like the way it would feel to WEAR IT.

@honeybunz. Honestly, this wouldn't have turned into anything more than a simple comment if I wasn't PM'd about the original comment that was very obviously misunderstood. I don't mind new costumes are added. I don't mind some of them are very feminine or very unrelated to battle or combat. But when that's ALL we get? I'll voice my feelings about the matter and I'm not going to let some CM with 8 hours of playtime try to tell me what our costumes history is or that we haven't voiced our costume ideas a thousand times over in the past.

Feuer, your original comment was not misunderstood. It had been explained to you that comments of this nature are not appreciated, that there are better ways of voicing your opinion that will not be so negative or construed so by others, and that will continue to be the case.

With regards to my request for suggestions, I asked for specific suggestions so that I could compile these requests and forward them on. Compiling requests for future costumes is more constructive than instigating agitation over current costumes you do not want to wear. If these requests have been made before, it is possible that at that time creating them was not possible due to other priorities, but I am more than happy to keep tabs on costume suggestions players want to see in the game in case the opportunity for them to be added in the future presents itself.

If you have any such further suggestions, you may send me a PM or post in the Suggestions forum. Further posts regarding this topic will be moderated.

When filling out price for buying an item, it's now blank on the IM. It wasn't before was it? Nice subtle change. Or i'm going crazy.

It'd be nice if all fields on vending were blank on the value field, save us alot of backspacing!
