Hello,

 

The guide sticky'd at the top is a bit out dated, and mostly focuses on cast reduction gear which I have been told is not the best way to optimize CC/AB damage in the end game.  Can one of you awesome Gene's post up your top tier gears (minus god items) so I have a better idea of what to shoot for?

I'm not a pro but I think this is at least the right direction to heading for if bombing:

 

+12 EMH with Seyren Windsor Card

Dark ping BDM

Jinn Marin Balloon

 

+9 Geffen Magic Robe gown with porcellio

+12 EA12 HF with AK Card

+9 EA10 FAW with Menblatt Card

+12 Temp Dex boots with EA4 / BP

 

2 x RWC Rings w/ ATK+3%

 

Full Moon

Robo Eye

+10 Kingbird's Set

+9 Liberation Set

+19 Power Set

 

Of course there is variation on the upgrades and enchants. Less is less and more is more (if EMH drops below +10 then card needs switching iirc).

So if you're a high dex build, you should use the rwc rings instead of pendants?

While running ET, are you switching gears all the time between cc and ab optimized?

Personally if I'm in a party running ET I won't really change anything, you could switch to the pendants for insta CC cast (i'm just shy without) on beez but even then I forget plenty and it's not an issue - the other Ghost's will drop too quickly for it to be worth it. In reality how many people are going to have 2 pendants and 2 rings fully enchanted?

I ask because I actually do have 2 pendants and 2 rings fully enchanted (int on the pendants and str on the rings).. but I havent carded them yet.. I have two KBC cards but I dont want to have to get 4!! So I'd prefer to have one set of accessories to use consistently and have the KBC's in them.

 

Edit: Mostly I am interested in Soloing ET/PvM encounters

Also, wouldn't ancient gold deco be better than emh?

 

edit: nope, the 5% ranged dmg is better than 8% atk

Personally I'd use the rings. In reality it's not going to be a huge amount between either, but the majority of bosses are AB so may as well focus on that,

I like the idea of being able to tank MvP's attacks and its mobs. No point in having high dps when you die too fast.

Painkiller gives so much reduction. It frees you from using some elemental resist gears for damage increasing gears.

Thanks that is what I was looking for.  So you have two pairs of boots, one for CC and one for AB?  Also, for the pyro gene (I have a dieter) Could you not compromise and use RWC ring + pendant with KBC cards instead of BR's?

Runaway boots is usually use on Ghost/Dark/Holy or low DEF MvPs by using Demonic Fire/Thorn Wall. In some situations, Runaway CC is better, faster and/or cheaper than just straight out bombing with Bear Power.

 

Yea, you could use RWC Ring + Pendant combo instead of BR's for Dieter Gene. Accessories are pretty much w/e the player's preferences are. To be honest, I got used to playing my PK Genes. When I got back to Pyro Gene, I wonder why elemental attacks hurt so much. I prefer to use BRs. 30 MDEF is roughly 20% magic reduction.

How's the dmg for a pyro gene vs pk gene?  Is it about even or does the extra dmg gear leave a pyro gene in the dust?  I just got my Dieter to 150, but now im considering remaking a Sera (seems more appropriate for solo)

The extra damage gear is to compensate you dont have pyro +200 atk buff '-'
Pyro gene does more damage.

1~175 a gen is less frustrating than 1~150 a homun, specially getting loyalty to evolve it.

Sera has a skill called "Painkiller" that can reduce incoming damage by up to 1000 her hit.

once sera get painkiller u can stop leveling it. Dieter need 150 to get uber damage

sera needs to be lvl 150 for maximum 1000 point dmg reduction too 

 

dieter's granitic armor works great for neutral burst dmg that deals >10k dmg

Hiya guys

I wanna CC my way to 150 and read some guides but I wanna see if what I currently have should be enough to do solo scaraba well (since gramps can have ridiculous TIs sometime. I mean it's doable but it will cost me a fortune ) . MVPs is doable as well but I prefer hunting mobs fer extra cash if I can (or should I pursue MVPs?)
