Hi,

I have read the refinement guide from http://irowiki.org/w...finement_System

To upgrade a raw armor to +9, how much materials(+7 safe cert, elu, HD elu) are required to prepare in advance before going for refinement.

Thank you very much :p_laugh:  :thx:

a. 4 reg ores to get to +4

b. 3+ ores and 3+ safe certs to get to +7

since enriched hammer is in game right now, use him.

c. buy a box of 50 enriched ores and talk to enriched hammer to get your +9

from the link you posted:

"It is recommended that you have at least 30 enriched ores before starting upgrading, and if you fall below 30 ores, you should stop upgrading when you get your gear back to +7 and buy more enriched ores before you resume upgrading."

i would avoid using hd ores to ever +9 anything. it's just not worth it. the only time when it's worth it is when dbl shadow refine event is in, and that's only because you cannot use enriched hammer to upgrade shadow gear.

Thanks for prompt reply!

Appreciate it very much.  :thx:

How long will the enriched hammer stays this round?

Is there any way to check the availability of enriched hammer?

if he's in he'll be on the 2nd floor of eden. bald monk looking npc. don't know how long he'll be in for but i'd say he's going to be here at least till december.

another thing to keep in mind. each refine attempt with enriched hammer costs 20,000 zeny. always make sure you have enough zeny to cover the amount of enriched ores in your inventory or you can run out of zeny and still have ores left to try to get your equipment back to +7. exiting dialogue with a gear below +7 after enriched will require you to use safe certs to get it back up again, which is not worth it.

I would like to share my experience for this:

a.) Average 3-7  +7 safe cert to upgrade from +4->+7
b.) Average 20 E.Elu to upgrade from +7->+9

I am lucky to upgrade my Heroic pack to +9 on 10 E.Elu. :heh:

I grab a ceremonial drum and dance around a Christmas tree( i still have one up from 2012 - too lazy to take out) after that I do self beating <- this is how you +9 5 items out of 1 e/elu box with 24 ores left

On a serious note, sometimes it is cheaper to buy an item that has been +9ed already, rather then making it yourself (my rule of thumb is 180mill or less is buying 200m+ is refining myself)

Preparation:

Money, Guts and a refining buddy who would share you the heartaches and joys of refining process.

There are times of joy when my buddy and I were able to refine 3 items from +7 using only 2 e elu each. Around 2 items which average 4 to 6 e elu. But here are items which required around 26 to 50 stones. The kvm weapon I upgraded took more than a box.

I still have 113+ e elus left and my buddy and I are wasting our last zeny to buy items, certs and take this opportunity to +9 as many end game items we could. I think I was already able to +9 more or less than 10 +7 items starting from around 275 e elus and 70 e ori.

Hi masters,

For safe to +7 cert, it usually costs around 8.5M++ as of today.

Hence, I would like to check average cost to upgrade to +7 without safe cert to see which is more cost effective.

What is the average number of armor/weapon and Elu required to +7 without safe cert.

Thanks! ;3

Step 1. Do well in potions and win Felix Felicis from Prof. Slughorn, or make one yourself (mind you, it will take a good 6 months for it to stew).

Step 2. Take a tablespoon of that liquid luck and +10 all your gears with 3 oridecons/eluniums. Wait, why stop there?! Go ahead and +20 them using the normal bradiums and carniums that you get from dolomedes.

Step 3. Follow whatever else Felix asks you to do
