Most scams that are happening lately make me feel less and less sympathetic for the victims.

 

I know it might be harsh, but things like rituals for entering guilds, or literally just handing over your items to someone who pretends to be someone you knew or w/e, these just seem like really stupid scams.

Bro, you can't be my friend unless you trust me, so give me your driver's license, credit cards, passport, the keys to your car, and the deed to your house, and go wait at that bus stop over there for 1 hour. Don't worry, I'll still be here with all your stuff, safe and sound, and after an hour I will definitely return them to you and then we can be friends.

Because ignoring chat boxes is just too much work

Honestly I don't care that people can't ignore them, that's not the point. These things are littering the most crowded places in the game with crappy scam-vertisements, they make for a horrible impression of the game and WP. Not to mention that this is essentially RMTing and considered to be illegal by WP staff and that the jerkass behind this is coincidentally also a perpetrator of many other scams.

I made this topic and have continued to report any of these jerkasses I see because they are poop on the walls and must be cleaned with strong "WarpPortal SMASH" brand bleach, so those of us here to play and have fun can play in peace. If you don't wish to help out with that, then please step aside so those of us who still care about this game's welfare can do our thing.
