Sorry to hear, specially considering it's just a "for fun" guild.
Did they dislike your arguments that much?

Guess my guildies and I are disbanding then.

We don't want anyone to disband over any of them.

If you want to PM me your guild leader or guild name, I can have a chat with them if they're this concerned over this.

I am also available over Skype or regular forum PM.

No, we're not here to level up the guild for the benefit of WarpPortal. Sorry to disappoint you. We formed a guild for ourselves, but if WarpPortal deems it not ours, we're not interested in working for something they own.

We don't manage or run guilds, but we do moderate them if they violate a rule or policy in the same sense we do that to players who do the same.

If your guild wants to discuss this further, you can reach me via PM or Skype. I'm not sure what guild you're in or who your leader is, but if it's causing this much of an issue that you're considering disbanding, I am here to work with you.

I guess you'll have to disband every guild you have in every online game, and then delete all your characters as well, since every online game owns all content within that game - and those games are all businesses which you're benefiting. I honestly don't believe you'll do that though, this really just reinforces the fact that you're only here to stir up drama in a game you probably don't even play to begin with.

I'm just representing my position on this policy and how it's been managed. But it's rather obvious that my radical ideas are not welcomed here so either way it seems to be the best course of action. My guildies feel the same way, but none of you believe me anyways so why should I bother defending myself? You seem just as stubborn as I to believe what you want so why should I waste my breath anymore?

Anyways, I'm done here. Revel in your victory, you've won against big bad me.

I know by fact that ZeroTigress played RO2 and owns a guild, as same as iRO1, even though, taking a long hiatus from RO2, doesn't mean she's not able to discuss stuff related to guild leadership.

And about WarpPortal's ownership on guilds. It literally went out of context, yes they do "own" everything on the games they publish, but they don't manage guilds if they don't break rules, as it is stated above and is the reason of this unnecessary discussion.

If you have nothing good to say, stay out of topic.

My guild has been in discussion about disbanding for a while now and this thread convinced my guildies to agree on going ahead with it. We play both RO and RO2, but the RO2 branch of our guild is missing a letter because of RO2's name restrictions so it didn't really feel like it was truly our guild with an incomplete name anyhow. Not that big of a deal, but it seems some people are overjoyed with that for some reason.

This escalated quickly Lol. I wasn't suggesting having a second leader along-side the primary one. I was suggesting something like a hierarchy system with a second in command and a third as well, if necessary. Just because guilds were designed with just one leader in mind doesn't make it the only right way to go about doing it. There is always room for improvement and my suggestion was just one of them.

The leader may be the one who represents a guild but if that person chooses to abandon his/her group without a word, isn't that a lack of responsibility on his/her part?

Wouldn't it be better if the guild remains in one piece in the likely event the leader decides to come back rather than have no one left in the guild because he/she left for an extended period of time?

If I ran a guild and felt like leaving without a word and then get back my guild when I return, I don't see the problem here.

What I suggested was completely different. It's only a stand-in system and the leadership will always remain with the original owner of the guild. Say you go for WoE and the leader is absent, then the second in command automatically gains the privilege of leading the guild to battle rather than waiting for the leader to show up or transfer the ownership before-hand. I'm aware that this may not be easy to integrate into the current system but something similar can still be achieved with the use of a NPC where you'd have to appoint the second and third in command. The script can check last login of the first in command and if a certain threshold has passed, it auto transfer authority until said player logs in again. Likewise, during WoE sessions it checks and transfers authority for the period of WoE alone.
