We would still want these items to be difficult to obtain. We would not want to change it so that it would be easy, but so that players would have a more specific goal to work towards obtaining the items, and to remove the frustration that some people might be having due to other groups camping a specific spot.

Also, it is a good idea to include a captain ruven's tokens for the quest, or any item mall items which can be used to begin or complete the quest.

You said it will be implemented probably next year, do we expect for this quest type to be implemented in first quarter of the year (2016)? I can't wait to see how this quest differs the other existing quests in-game.

There isn't a specific timeline yet for when these changes would be implemented other than aiming for them to go in next year. We will definitely post these details as soon as we have them though.

True medallion farmers know how to get the kings they want
I still agree to let them be how they are now, consider it's the only non-IM luxury in the game right now.
It's a goal to work hard for. Truth is many people managed to obtain the set then quit.

This is now a false reality in game, if you guys are going to look in a certain king spot location, you will see a group of players who are camping there everyday and look at their vendors in game, it just means they farm not to give those sets for their characters but to MONOPOLIZE the market and sell those king medallions for very expensive value.
Its time for this medallions to be completely removed in game. We have an upcoming big update right? So please, include this one on the update. I'm very sad to see that players, specifically who are new to this game, forced (because they have no choice) to invest with this kind of reward. 5% on crit, ap, dodge and defense.
Players would be happy to see that they invest on something really worth buying for. With 40 or 50 billions, a new player can definitely buy valuable things like high end armor sets, accessory sets, unique skills, etc, rather than spending that whole billion thing to just one set.

just change it that u need 1 medal of EACH King type Monster Ingame to get the set and make the Medals Charakter locked
so its still a challenge und the mobs will not be camped by the same player all the time.
Make it that only the first hit/dmg get the medal.. so u cant farm for all pt/grp member.
The droprate can stay like it is.

but it wont be camped that massiv like it is cause its not needed to farm for profit.. And if u need 1 of EACH King... then its a good chance that u get a free king for u to hunt.
And btw.. i think all the player camping that kings atm will have the set allready. I dun think they wanna kepp camp the Kings if there is no use for the Medal for them.
to incrase the droprate will change nothing. the camper will just get more profit of it...nothing else.
U need to give them a reason to not camp it all the time...and making the Medals char locked..would solve this problem. maybe not in seconds.. but if they have the medals..they will give up camping this king.

If camping is a problem, and the above is true, then it would make sense to account or character lock the medals on acquisition. It would deter frivolous farming and hording, as there wouldn't be much purpose to farming more than 1 set per character on an account.
Is that the solution we should start looking at?

Sad for me that using knight, already camping in king spot but suddenly there is a raider with high-speed run from "i don't know where is from" hitting the King, just wondering how they know the King appearing?

And.. maybe.. ( i rly dont know whos camping the spots cause i never tryed to farm kings !!! ) IF there are Chars from MAYBE Zullieseller. we will solve 2 problems with char locked medals
again..i dont know whos camping those spots..so not against any player ...!!!!

Even without campers I gave up farming them lol. 35 Mummy kings, not even a blue drop, just a buncha white title NPC trash. Medallions could definitely use a either a massive drop rate increase but become account locked or just increase it enoguh that you can get one after a day farming. I mean, a day for each medals is still easily 2+ weeks to get one set of the 2, making 1month for both.
I like this idea. King Set and Royale set will be much worth if they are farmed solely by the user. it will be more worth saying "I farmed this myself"
After reading thoroughly, I liked the quest idea too. I also like the instance were a group can enter an instance to defeat a king at the cost of zulie (with timer for challenge). And boss level (for example, Aqua King) will be based on the instance level (level range of members entering the instance).
Below are the things what I think the quest should contain.
~ Only 1 IP is allowed, just like pvp game arena, meaning, unlike dungeon you can't queue multiple characters. This is to avoid abuse for players who has many max and strong characters, it would be fun if only one character per player is allowed.
I don't like this idea. You guys are ignoring the fact that same IP doesn't necessarily mean "same person." There are circumstances where players or group of friends sharing the same internet connection or network would want to party up by themselves. It should be about 1 character per mac address (not sure if this is possible, but adding a system that detects if the PC is running more than one client and has unique keys/ID can be possible, just like GameGuard but instead of disallowing multiple clients, they add a unique key to all clients).
~ King's Medal must not be tradable, cannot be dropped, can't vend and Character Locked Upon Acquire.
This is good.
~ The quest must require a required mats to offer the NPC aside from zulie (the materials must be rare that cannot be found thru valor shop, neither can be acquired by disassembling items nor can't buy in any NPC)
This is good too. Much better if these items drop from low level ghost areas for newbies to farm.

To avoid same internet connection using by multiple player, i think the solving is restricted by MAC-Address & IP Address (Combine this two parameters) also if possible the OS or something unique key-hash (like device UUID in iPhone) per Computer, so even player manipulate their MAC-Address, game still comparing it to unique-keyhash

i also approve of the idea another way to farm boss medals in dungeons instance. also make it harder.

This issue should be addressed as soon as possible. Before server merge, farming of these king medallions was not really an issue but since we already merged, the rivalry became so extreme. Different farmers came from different former servers (leonis and draconis) are now competing in ONE spot. Can you see the obvious problem there or are you just pretending and act as a blind person, totally ignoring what's the downside of this server merge? And I really wanted to say that jagz was right before, these costume sets when wear by a player, give advantage over its enemy which supposedly NOT. Costume must remain as costume!
I have both akram kingdom and ancient royal set, I appreciate its look, awesome but I see it as a BAD design ever made from the very start.
