Make crafting less repetitive and click intensive.

Right now, crafting a single item involves clicking twice on two different buttons. This in itself is fine, unless you want to create stacks of something. I cannot be bothered to create 999 items with 1998 manual clicks, I might even rather cut my hands off if I start crafting many stacks.

We receive exp for crafting items, that doesn't happen very often in games. So please make it less of an extreme pain to make use of this mechanic, I'd simply suggest a craft all button which crafts slower (1.25?) but automatically. That would decrease 3rd party program botting by quite a lot.

I like your idea.

Might I elaborate this?

1. Add a text box to input the quantity of the item you wish to create.

  • If the quantity you entered exceeds your inventory space limit, a message will prompt saying 'Your inventory space is not enough to do this'.
  • If the materials needed for the quantity of the item you wish to create isn't enough, a message will prompt saying 'You do not have enough materials in your inventory to do this'.
  • If all validations have been checked and passed, crafting shall proceed.

2. Dealing with success rate.

Since not every crafter has 100% success rate in everything, I think this part shouldn't be by-passed. Say you are trying to make 999 red pots. In each of them, the 'Success Rate Logic' should still be visible (the part where you see whether it was successfully created or failed and if it failed, where it failed). So it should take still as long as how it currently does minus the repetitive clicking. So the more you create, the longer it's gonna get.

Repetitiveness bores the players. Though it doesn't answer to all botting problems, it sure could prevent one.

Craft all button definitely, but there is no need to slow the crafting down. You would just be trading one tedious task for another.

I think an option to disable the crafting animation would be nice.

Crafting suggestions should be placed in their own thread.

If they planned to apply this suggestion it doesn't prevent the bottling in general, bottling has a huge impact on leveling. I understand that it shouldn't be easy to reach 230 but also as you go along, the rose itself should provide competitive rewards to a player.

Before, I often told to myself that the rose should made a single button which can do batch craft but I realize that it must not be changed and just leave it as it is. Why? For sure, many artisans will craft those potions, gems, bullets, etc and it can greatly affect those prices in the market while other item such as faith, hanbok, im substat etc remain over price.

That is the challenging part being an Artisan, who will remain being persistent and determined in crafting, and for me I don't want to change it to the way it can do batch craft, I hope you get my point here.

Thank you

I don´t know, if this thread is still up to date, but I still wanna give my opinion about it.

There were serval requests to remove the auto target skill. From my opinion, this would be a huge disadvantage. It is just a huge benefit for a mage to have a clickable skill to target the next enemy. I use that for example in big team fights in AA or in dungeons.

If you want to disable the skill to prevent botting, I would suggest to disable it only on the regular maps, so it can still be used it pvp and dungeon areas.

Suggestion:

My idea would be, to spawn strong boss monsters at places where a group levels a little bit longer. They don´t need to have special drops, may just result in additional exp. The boss monsters should be strong enough to kill regular botters, but they should be killable with some team work. This would may even make the leveling more instresing.

Botting is only thing when leveling is boring and grindy. Take away the monotonous grind, and you take away incentive to Bot.

I would like to ask a question. Why are WP always trying to avoid player botting but never think of legalised botting?

What I mean of legallise is building an in-game bot with some simple setting (e.g. long interval between skill casting etc). This might help on reducing the usage of 3rd party bot.

Why I am suggesting this was because, I played a few online game before which have the in-game bot. And found that when there are an in-game bot, a player will never bother to look/create another 3rd party bot (Even the in-game bot are not the best one).

So is fair enough if player decides not to use to in-game bot where it was available to everyone.

Is just suggesting, not sure will this works or not. :D

Suggestion 2:

To avoid botting, actually, we can increase the MP consumption of skill. I notice that we will never finish our MP on most class. If there were a huge need to consume HP/MP pot when leveling. Even player were botting but might be just for a period (E.g. 1 hour) After they finish their pot, they are waiting to die. lol

Suggestion 3:

This might not related to leveling bot. But looting bot. I have an idea which could avoid player using 3rd bot for looting but at the same time, WP could have additional income XD. By implementing auto loot pet in the IM. Also, there is gear for the pet which allows the pet to carry more loot or even loot faster which also available from IM. :P

Because promoting botting would be like promoting the death of the game? There's a reason WoW lost millions of subscribers, there's a reason Allods online failed, there's a reason that tonnes of games lately and in the last 5 years have crashed and burned in their own wreckage. No one likes a boring, autoplaying, game.

People left WoW in troves because of the Garrison, if you're not familiar with what that is, YouTube it, trust me, you'll get plenty of results.

Allods online failed miserably because it's BORING with the autopathing quests. You can literally click any part of a quest, and your character just runs there. Completely unobserved by the person, no immersion in the game world. You're playing with a UI menu, not a beautifully crafted work of art and gaming.

No one likes to play UI management dressed up as a game. And with how horribly lonesome early content is in ROSE, putting the final nail in the coffin in the form of a support bot, would completely push out all new players. Because that's not a game anymore, that's just farmville.

Here's some fixes for leveling:

Spoiler

And all that retains to leveling.

To address your potion bot: Solutions

[1] Increase nature HP/MP recovery

[2] Decrease Monster damage, negating the need to pot

To address your looting bot: Solutions

[1] Automatically deposit drops into character bags, nothing drops on the ground at all anymore.

[2] Add looting pets, that automatically grab your loots.

[3] Take out all drops and replace them with currency, and just put everything in the NPC's to buy.

So, TL;DR

Bots turn a game into nothing more than a UI management / FB game.

Resorting to Bots over legitimate fixes is lazy, unprofessional, and would mar ROSE's appearance to newcomers.

There's LOADS of methods to address the 'problems' [excuses] people have to use bots, but development time isn't free. People need to eat.
