Try the following:
- Clean your browser cache.
- Turn off browser adblock if you have one running.
- Try another web browser.
Revert back with updates.

None of those methods worked, I even waited a couple of days. Is there a hard limit on how much one can do this?

Please submit a support ticket to the payment department for investigation, the error rather seems generic.
If you have other device or computer you could test on it might help to verify some things.
