Sorry for the late notice, but it is best that we move forward trying to fix the problem rather than let it continue longer than necessary. The maintenance we are doing will not be the "final" solution but it should help mitigate some of the damage it is causing and help provide us more information to get that better solution working.
hahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa........... sorry but dont even know whats the problem you have, 2 years and more and you dont even now what problem your server have, ISp change multiple patches, etc etc and still you dont find the problem. Seriously, why a raging and dissapointed comunity should believe you now??, even worse why people should keep playing this.
I made a mistake buying prem (even if was cheaper). Now i just will wait till it ends to leave this .

Flaming posts like these makes me wonder why GM's even bother to reply to questions at all. Oh wait! If the GM's don't say anything, people get mad and flame at them for not saying anything. Many want to know what's going on, even if the GM's aren't sure what's going on(Just so we know they're actually there to see what's going on.). Then when they do give you an answer, people flame them for being idiots that don't know what exactly is going on. Give them a break? They get the point. They know people are angry with them. They know what's going on.hahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa........... sorry but dont even know whats the problem you have, 2 years and more and you dont even now what problem your server have, ISp change multiple patches, etc etc and still you dont find the problem. Are you new here?? If u are let me tell you something, IT THE SAME EVERY SIBGLE TIME. Its the same lame excuse since 2 years ago and more, and others like "send us a tracer, its a problem with the server, and long etc of lame without any solution. I dont care if u wanna waste your time here, but the day my prem account ends i quit.
If you are not new here and have some time playing this game, well if u dont have any problem tell the secret recipe.
PS: No, sorry, i dont know what ISP they are using now, but its the same problem that the server had with the last one (lag, freeze, dc, error 06) and its the same history every single time they touch the server, so in my opion its a not a Internet connection issue, its just a lot of incompetent people together in a same place, working with even more incompetent devs overseas.

Actually, I have been playing RO for more than 2 years. Nothing new. In terms of lag, I can't say I've ever experienced really bad lag except for the times when Gravity was under DDoS attacks or when there were legitimate server problems that required fixes. Those DDoS attacks have happened quite a few times over these past few years. Probably the same guy too. Think it's the zeny sellers QQing? Might be. And there is no solution to DDoS attacks. Even WoW gets DDoS attacks that happens to cancel some of their events on quarterly basis. There are protective measures, but those require a ton of money that exceeds Gravity's budget board. It is also very easy to launch DDoS attacks from what my programming buddies say.Are you new here?? If u are let me tell you something, IT THE SAME EVERY SIBGLE TIME. The secret recipe to how I don't lag? I use ancient dial-up connection to play RO. Apparently my connection doesn't drop packets as much compared to other wireless/broadband/high speed ISP's out there. I hear Comcast has been sucking lately as well for many users here. Seriously though, I have had no problems with my dial-up connection. Sometimes it is your ISP's fault for your lag issues. Hence the reason the GM's ask for tracerts. Packets sent throughout the internet also go through different routers along the way. If there's a problem with one of the routers, then they need tracerts to figure it out.
Also take note that there is a major difference between server problems that require patches to improve performance as opposed to ISP problems. The latter being the situation Gravity is in right now. If it were server problems, only your game server would be affected. Not everyone else. In this case, everyone else is having latency/DC problems. Therefore, it is an ISP issue. Not an individual server issue. When it comes to ISP issues, it is not a fault on Gravity's part. It is their ISP. If you have someone to blame, blame their ISP for being tards.
