Another question regarding spell fist accessories =)

 

Are alchemy gloves a good option for imp cards?  Or is that 10% not very noticeable?  Planning to go for scarabas when I get to 131 and unlock the Eden quests for it. 

 

Currently 121, and the Eden quests for this level range just got harder haha.  Doing mostly Rachel and Abyss Lake quests.

if you're aiming solely for damage then yes alchemy glove is the best one to be carded with imp

if you wear thorny buckler then of course pair the alchemy glove with bison horn

Now back to the reality. I made spellfist/hindsight sorcerer, but I have access to most support/aoe spells. For spell fist/hindsight I'd use thanatos rod + naga shield. Thana has high MATK, one handed so lesser aspd penalty, card slot and nice effect. Shield - +7 is easy and cheap to get and chance to activate the effect is reliable enough(reflect means additional hindsight procs, combo with rod). Good card for rod and shield - white knight + khatlitzburg knight, but I'm not sure if theyre avaiable on iRO already, nobody seems to have them.

I have +9 double rapid ledger of death but it feels lackluster, hard to hit enemies, low MATK

But that's hindsight, which needs ASPD. For SF you could simply take Kronos, two Imp alchemy gloves  and maybe convert enemies to earth/fiber lock. You dont really need sidewinder or thorn buckler combo. When you need aoe simply switch gear to cast reduction ones.

Couple of questions though:

 

1.  Why the naga shield and not go for thorny + bison?  Isn't it more or less the same thorns effect, but with the additional aspd increase from the bison combo?

 

2.  Is the Ledger that bad?  I'm still saving up on getting a +10 and carding it with 2 Faithful Manager cards.  Should I just forego that and stick with the Thanatos Staff?

 

I haven't really tried Kronos, so no idea on how much my aspd would drop if I go the 2h staff route.  Currently sitting at 186 aspd with the thanatos staff and thorny buckler combo.

1. also curious, since high orc valk and thorny set should outclass shield of naga. sure you lost reduction card or better accessory, but not as much as losing constant melee damage reflect.

*on the other note if you are linked (which is pretty much making your hindsight a monster) you will also want to get kaahi'd so you can block fatal melee damages*

2. ledger is the best there is. 2 slots, enchantable, aspd. but yeah, way much costlier to get the same performance as most other stuffs. thanatos staff is also good but seeing that it's harder to get to 193, there's a lot more to consider everywhere else (whether you should get FAW/HBP, cenere card, AGI boots instead of INT, need 120 AGI instead of 120 INT, etc)

Again, dream situation: this item actually is released so I can use shield of naga + 2x emblem, which would provide me additional 5aspd from set and +7 from adrenaline rush( using 2 emblems should doule the chance to activate). Probably not going to happen

 

Ledger is lackluster because against stronger monsters a lot of my attacks miss. Now take a look at what kind of disadvantage it means:

Lets assume a set consisting of naga shield, two alchemy gloves, thana rod and cd in mouth. Missing an attack means less cd procs. This leads to way less bolts - remember that rod and fireball from glove also proc on MAGICAL damage.

It all kinda boils down to what image of hindsight build one has in mind, pure hindsight doesnt have to care about missed hits after all. If you dont intend on using alchemy gloves then sure, go for thorn buckler + 2x bison for ASPD because it's the best possible option.

About naga shield - +7 makes it reliable for usage, if you manage to get +9 or more then it will proc before its effect end, refreshing the duration. Good if you dont want to sacrifice accesory slots for bison combo

 

Also, with things like blitz shadow equip combo on the horison I am hesitant to invest in aspd oriented items which lack damage like ledger does http://ratemyserver....em_db&comid=412

yeah the emblem aint gonna happen. also, 2x bison horn doesn't give you 20% aspd. set bonus applied only once. it's still as useful as you put imp inside, and you still be able to put another alchemy glove. plus, constant melee damage reflect =V

about ledger, you wanna imagine a dream situation, then imagine a +14 ledger with 2x faithful manager card (okay, too short of imagination but eh, put MvPs as you wish =V ) and sharp5/5 enchant. -20 LUK, +36 crits. around 10 crit short from encyclopedia w/ 100 LUK, which can be compensated w/ +7 crit shadow armor. you're losing those HP/SP leeching benefit tho, compared to thanatos =V

this way you can setup a 100 LUK and 120 INT build, slap in temporal INT boots and antique book FAW w/ aspd enchant and it should be pretty easy to hindsight with this. find a way to more crit buffs like buche del noel, +20 LUK food, tako, or abrasive, anything you can think of. should be easy to rely on crit to proc autocasts like this. so about ledger being hard to attack enemies, I find thanatos staff rather harder =X

And crit ledger sounds interesting, I haven't thought of this. But getting double sharp5 is gonna be costly. Then again, costume wings with ASPD enchant are even more expensive

I cant even complete regular casting gear and you link me faihful manager card which requires +14 book? I'll get two and put them in my aspd +2 ledger
