It was quite different from what I wanted, but it was fun , I tried to do something kind of cartoony , but ended up looking like Disney * dead *

Description: The characters shown are Monk wearing Big golden bells (left), Ninja wearing Yinyang earrings (right), and the Monkey (Yoyo) which represents the year animal sign. The idea/concept of my drawing is to appreciate chinese/asian tradition/culture which speaks of balance in everything or all of the elements from the Sun, moon and stars, and water, earth, fire and wind (not shown oh the image tho).

I drew my friend's character as I don't really have a romantic interest in the game anymore

If she wants it, she should compete in this contest herself.

Allowing this will mean it's an okay to have people start getting commissions from artists and getting them to submit art for them.

what makes you think its commissioned, Acolyte? Pikyu is a good friend of mine and what if she just decided to make it for me? It is originally posted by the artist, and he/she can choose what to do with their entry, so I dont see any violation whatsoever.

I don't know whether it's a comission or a sudden interest in her wanting to draw your character. Either way, it's not something that I was accusing her of.

The point is, she entered the contest and had no interest in winning the prize for herself. That is the problem and it can lead to other artists who don't even play the game to submit art for their friends to win the prize.

Edit: Also, just because you found a loop hole in the first rule doesn't mean what you and your friend are doing is okay. It's damaging the integrity of the contest and it'll be unfair for the ones who are actually drawing their own stuff to compete against other fellow artists.

i don't have qualms with people having their friend in their entry instead of them, i saw another artist do that too ._. not sure about the prize awarded to someone else though. i have 50/50 thoughts on it.

Regardless of what it is, anyone could have a piece commissioned then, have the artist submit it, and just say "but oh, we're friends, they just decided to draw me, and have me awarded for it as well."

I decided to do Lunar New Years theme, because V-Day really doesn't mean anything to me. I tried to incorporate traditional clothing from Japan, Vietnam, China, and Korea while at the same time, made the clothing still resemble RO class clothings. If that makes sense LOL.

The red envelopes comes in all kinds of designs. In my tradition, it's passed out from elders to youngest. It's a sign of good fortune for this year. Sometimes, we even use to to "gamble" to test our luck for this year.

 

So it goes like this:

Ranger>>Sorc>>AB>>GX>>Gene
