Hello Dragon Saga Friends!

We investigated and found out that this problem appears mostly with Intel Core i7 processors.

The problem seems to be the Hyperthreading. You can disable it in your BIOS. If you want to disable it, you should do a google search how this can be achieved. Please note that you do this on your own risk.

If you go further into the Hyperthreading subject and read a bit more by using a goolge search you'll find out that the performance boost with enabled Hyperthreading is not significant, but disabling it makes games run more stable. This is not only the case for Dragon Saga.

We have now several players who confirmed that turning off Hyperthreading works, but this might not work for everyone.

At the moment we have sadly no way to fix this problem on the game site.

Update: It turns out that the problematic combination seems to be Intel Core i7 + Windows 10 + Hyperthreading enabled

... the computer that is currently being shipped to me is exactly that combination. Darn it.
Well, the first thing I'm going to do when it arrives is disabled that.

Technology is so great. The more complicated it becomes, the more ways there are for you not to be able to do something you want.

As resources become more available to north-western people and their society evolves to the next stage of consumerism, fewer and fewer people care about compatibility issues or resources needed in order to do anything.

You can't run this game with your computer because of remotely pretty graphics and craptimized code using up an incredible amount of resources ? Buy another machine !

This new technology, which you of course were forced to paid for, mostly without knowing what it is, isn't going to be of any use to play a game you enjoy ? Either you cope with it and people have you feel like you're using Skynet's mainframe to play Pong, or you buy expensive games to satisfy this imaginary need to look like you do consume stuff at an absurd rate and help the economy to move forward in a supposedly infinite growth, on a planet with limited resources.

TL;DR : the greatest part of the modern programmers can die in a fire.

I miss the old Commodore times... :( when I had games on a tape instead of a floppy disk.

Wait... what is a floppy disk?  :heh:

I just took a look, as well. My i7-5820k has hyperthreading enabled, I'm on Windows 10 64bit, and I can play the game no problem! Looks like good ol' Poppie found a fix for us!
