So many Beastmasters still in the game, so much discussion! I don't really have the patience to write a wall but here are what I think are core issues of Beastmaster:


  • Beastmaster cannot use Ymir in Grizzly form - it is the only class who does not gain the benefits of Ymir. Either give him a new "ymir bear" model or just allow us to use ymir inside grizzly form and have the grass trail effect that ranger also has behind our feet.
  • Adding to ymir form, bear carnival is complete garbage and could see a large damage increase + much lower cooldown.
  • Cruel bites healing needs reducing or a small cooldown needs to be placed on it so you can't spam it. Cruel bite is OP as hell but it's what keeps BM as a pretty viable class, so be careful with this one.
  • Tiger form should just be 1 stage of 50%, or at least reduced to 3 stages of 20% movespeed. It's a trap ability and serves no combat usage.
  • Increase bear spirit attack power bonus to 10% per stage. BM is supposed to be a dual tank/DPS hybrid but the attack power boost is not enough for BM to deal any sort of serious damage.
  • Increase bear spirit self-buff chance rate to match grizzly. Dunno why it's lower.
  • Change wild crush armor rip effect to a flat damage increase debuff and can be stacked 3 times, increasing damage taken by the target by 5% per stack (basically make it a raw tilt that needs to be stacked).
  • Let wild crush bleed DoT stack 3 times.
  • Generate beast points per target knocked down by wild impact. When you compare this to battle leap it's really awful - cannot be used as a ranged attack, does not deal damage and does not generate class combo points. Wild crush > brutal strike would allow BM to have actual damage output in PvP situations (WoE) but still nowhere near the damage output of battle tactics classes.


Just some rough ideas there. Like I know BM is practically immortal in PvE but this is mainly down to cruel bite spam, the class sucks in most other aspects.

imo non magic classes should have raw dmg inc instead of patk inc but halved like 15% dmg inc from Bear Form and Ymir or buff patk so these buffs would be way useful

but they should nerf swordies and thiefs first...
