Slomotion Bug in DG ( cou )

Hi

 

often if i run in dg ( cou ) i get a slomotion bug. At my Screen it looks like im running at one point and not moving forward.at the screen from the other group members..all looks fine.

 

only way to stop it is relog.. or get killed by the mobs. ok.. with my knight its not that easy to die there..even if i get off my eq..its not that easy to coordinate cause i dun see where i rly stay.

 

i know many other have this problem too..but wonder there is no bug report.

 

so.. may there is any way to not get this slomotion bug... anyone know anything?

I always get slow motion with my raider all the time too, but sometime after we killed boss ( 1st or 2nd ) the movement speed coming back , it is not 100% but lightly 80% change to get the speed come back , this bug was long long time ago , but they didn't find out where was the bug come from

It's been around for months till now, like half a year ago.

And it's never resolved.

 

You're right by saying you have to relog or suicide to get rid of this movement speed down bug.

Sometimes it will resolve itself once you're debuffed again by the bosses.

 

One way to avoid getting this bug (not 100%) is, avoid using mounts after you've finished the boss & still had the debuffs on.

 

 

There are a couple more bugs besides this one, but they've not been resolved either.

For example, you char moves on its own & gets stuck at the first bridge when you're on your way back after killing the 1st boss.

Related to the same issue lala,

The server says you have the movement speed down up, but your client missed the packet with that info. Thus, you move on your client, and the server says 'Wait a sec, you're not there, you're HERE' *move you where the server says you should be*

You have to 'back track' around the obstacles to get unstuck, or get a cart request etc. 

 

Long story short, the movement speed down effect is causing multiple issues due to sync'ing and packet loss. Or some other form of client → server miscommunication.

This is the same around some other areas in the game; ever since the implementation of the map boundaries to prevent people from going around blocked areas, there has been a lot of rebounding issues, this also applies to monsters as well.

 

If you remember my "Cart Planking" post, this was the result of the rebounding of the map boundaries. Another example is the fountain in Junon, try to run by it on either side, you'll more than likely run back and get stuck in it.

Acceptable out there but sucks in dungeons.

Because carts can't help either.

Years for me xD not months, even the first time i did dungeon i might got it.

oh tough it was like the wole client/clients like slowmotion, because that's what happened to me, mostly i guess is because ram usage, wen wasn't doing multi client i never got that but wen i was doing most of times i got it, all u clients was in slowmotion for a few seconds wile the rest of u party or group wasn't. is a bug that is here for ages :3

At least you can scroll to get out.

In dungeons, you lose no less than 3,000 energy.

I've found my way out of it 99%+ of the time. All it takes is a little experimenting and you can typically get out within a few seconds. It happens to me 3-4 times a day when we're running DG's often.

I haven't experience yet in any other dungeons except what the OP reported, cou, like Feuer said I managed to resolved that without having re-logging my characters or doing suicide.

 

I believe this is a server side issue which having a problem in players running multiple clients in cou. This problem is a very old ones like lala said and yet not still fix, wondering why? I remember, devs are not supporting running multiple clients thus the risk is on the player LOL

Someone who runs only 1 character can also suffer this bug as well.

 

Being slowed down is still good, but what is worst is your movement speed decreased to zero.

And since some people tend to use mount after killing the first king & still have the debuffs on,

they'll then not realize they move at 0 until they get off the mount & start moving to 2nd boss.

 

Oh well, that's when his character does the shuffling dance move. LOL

It's hard to cart the character in this case as well.
