just following the pattern of the mora gears here. slotted garments are more useful than slotted boots, so I don't wanna mess w/ that dynamic.


as a mage counterpart i was thinking of a specialized weapon for sorc along with the empowered version of it and go with the armor-footgear-accessory [1] pattern. but hey it's your idea not mine :> it looks awesome as is

I don't really like the weapon patterns because a welfare set like this couldn't be allowed to surpass "real" gears individually. Like empoered affection wand pales to glorious cure wand. So we're looking at tsod here and the thought of trying to make a weapon that would be good but also inferior to tsod made me cringe.

I think you have to differentiate which option is from having a set and which option is perma on item itself. That garment for sorc especially. I'll use that garment over anything else any day. 35% MATK + 40 MATK + 30% Variable with next to no cost on +9ing it(given that its as easy as acquiring Mora gear) is quite overpowered.

The idea is:
Your build is majorly modified by mastery of any bolts let alone all 3-4. Otherwise its a spell faw without all of faw's other features like neutral resistance, 18 mdef, and card slot.

having all bolts maxed isn't that hard for PvM build. and FAW without enchant isn't that helpful. I doubt i'd feel much difference between 0 mdef or 18 mdef, or 9% neutral resistance or not. FAW's main feature is having massive MATK with variable casting reduction. and if this gear can be obtained just like Mora Gear, thats 4m + elu per try to get +9 which isn't too hard in my experience. 

 

Comepared to http://db.irowiki.or...tem-info/15042/ Mora set only gives powerful option only when its used in set. Standalone shouldn't be powerful. Having it comparable with FAW alone is way to powerful imo.

Options themselves were fine with me.

Just as an example. Make it so that it gives powerful ability as a set just like Mora. I was just worried that it would be just another standalone items. Idea themselves are great. Only question i had was set bonus limitation to make having a set worth it. 

 

Also, Giving them an option for enchant would be nice as well(same enchant as mora). That way, it could also be customized.

Fixed one looks fine. Set option could give slightly more variable cast reduction than 10% since WWS gives whopping +2 aspd. And you know how hard it is to get those. -20% should do the job I think. 

 

Since a lot of Bolt enthusiast might also go with auto Hindsight route, it might also be fun to give two different set for different style. Just like Sapha and Nab set for GX. I would personally go with ASPD build for bolt especially with Fiberlock being uber useful in this case. Just an idea.

Idea is nice, but that sorcerer set modyfying existing skills might be impossible to implement. The more straightforward bonuses, the better.
Also, some more possible buff options: reduced aftecast delay on bolts(effect beneficial for those who want to selfcast instead of using hindsight), % mdef piercing(since in renewal higher level monsters have a lot of MDEF and it makes bolt damage suck big time)

I absolutely want those SC, Kage, and Sorc sets! /fsh

Do you plan to have second set too? :D

 

For SC set, it would be good if every piece have additional AGI bonus, as Triangle Shot formula is affected by total AGI.

 

For Ninja set, if I have to go auto-attack, I would prefer using Mirror Image than CSS, as it doesn't have knock back effect and I don't have to swap equips. It would be better if the Increase AGI, Shadow Warrior, and Alchemical auto casted when casting Mirror Image. The set could have negate Shadow Orb requirement for Mirror Image.

 

As for Sorc set, it so good. But, like Spike said, as Wizard counterpart, it would be nice to have weapon set. If it has to inferior than TSOD, I'm thinking about elemental grimoire (as book always inferior than staff). The innate bonus can be like, give bonus to related spirit, and the set bonus can be increasing bolt damage or fixed mdef piercing.

Rogue is more of a robber. Maybe set that compliments the "Ganker" might be interesting. I used to make fortunes using gank when I first stepped into iRO.

how about instead of buffing the gank skill and any related to it, we're (i mean you're) buffing skill that can allow SC shines as its names. come on, something that show u're a shadow chaser :heh:  :heh:  :heh:

Ok got some but I don't know to put it in a gear form. Set that buff the melee skill of Rogue class and Shadow Chaser Class. Fatal Menace will have the teleport removed and increase the AOE range to 5x5 when mastered. The sp cost doubled. Every points from Sightless mind and Snatch increase the atk power of the skill by 10% each skill; when both skill mastered, both skills contributed to additional 50% damage from each skill. Each level of sword mastery increase the damage for 20%; when mastered, increase additional dmg by 100% and reduce hit reduction from fatal menace by 5. <------ that's for melee skill

 

and there's also for reproduced skill regardless set. how about; when reproduce skill is mastered, increase the reproduced skill dmg for 50% (100% if not too much), reduces sp cost for 25%. each point from intimidate increase reproduced skill by 5% each. when sword mastery is mastered, increase atk dmg for 50% while when vulture's eye is mastered, increase ranged dmg by 50% <------- i don't know if u like it.

 

that's what i think....... I hope it's not to much increasement. that what i can think for contribution for chaser.
