I've fallen in love with Sura's lately, how they require such technicality, speed and precision particularly in PVP situations.

 

I'm aware most of the guides here cover PVM/MVP/WOE/Gfist Sura's pretty thoroughly, but what about PVP Sura's?

 

I've had a share of experience in private servers where instant cast/cast times (overall speed and player skill) reign supreme making the Sura the ultimate kill-all class, and a couple of days ago I saw several Sura's dominate PVP situations with a similar type of play style I saw previously in private servers. (note I played in high rate servers where stats go off the roof, but somehow these players are doing it here in iRO)

 

Their cast times were close to immediate (particularly zen, absorb spirits, even goh). And their snaps were effortless, fluid and quick. - and some were able to spam the Hide skill pretty rapidly.

 

I know they must have sacrificed some attack/vit for that kind of speed. I built my Sura based on a 120 dex to take advantage of the dex boots' fixed cast time reducs + I use my + 12 glorious fist to prep my casting. But I still can't seem to match their speed.

 

So my question is, what kind of build do these PVP suras go by? And what kind of equips are they using to reduce cast times (particularly fixed) to attack and snap around so fluidly?

instacast and high aspd go hand in hand. some people go as far as unequipping shields to reach a higher aspd.

Fast hide/unhide = low to no ping

GoH (and TC) are full variable so enough var cast reducs  (KK, spell enchants, magic strings) allows for instant casts

fast consecutive GoHs w/ bellum arc wand can be potent w/ enough missing HP

 

high ASPD is beneficial for chaining skills faster (including hide-unhide) - though regardless of ASPD, it's possible to bypass unhide's animation by unequipping the hide accessory (by hotkey switching to another accessory) to hide-unhide faster (having the same base accessory can make it more convenient as you only need 1 hotkey to cycle through)
