I recently noticed that many players doesn't do or not aware of the current events. One example is the latest event with is the Winter Festival, same old rewards and nothing really motivating to do it. I've been farming tickets and it feels like a ghost town. I'm more likely the only person in the event. Event should be a gathering of players and at the same time having fun and taking a break from quests and lvling.

Suggestions:

1. New Event Rewards = New motivation

2. New Type of Event = New Excitement

3. More ads about the Event = More players

4. Accessible for everyone = More players

5. GMs present & communicate with players

These are basically what I think that can help the community event more lively and also to attract new players to play Rose Online. Other ideas? Please leave a comment down below!

Our event/quest write left some years ago [Qilin] and since events are not as frequently updated due to constraints on the other staff.

I'd personally love to become the 'Official' Volunteer Quest writer for ROSE, but I have no experience with the QSD's and Quest file system. That means I could write up some awesome quests, but have no idea how complicated I'm making them to code or if features I want to use would be possible. Because of that, I've never touched quests more than a few simple kill quest ideas.

Mabye I can convince Genesis or Leonis or someone to give me a crash course in the quest system and start working towards some new or updated quests. Given I know how to do the 3D modeling etc, that would mean new fresh items as well. But again. That's all contingent on getting coached in the quest system.

I have been writing quests but becuse am not very good at computers I can't write it as files so it become more easier for the DEVs, they need to read my quest and then put it into ''comptuer lanugage''so the game will understand what it means.

Would be very cool to be a voulenteer quest maker but there is a section of the forums where you create your own quest and then public it for the DEVs (Click Here). So need to point out a quest maker becuse we all can be one and just public it out there in that ''Create your own story'' section.

There's a difference in what I'm talking about though Buffies. There's 'event' quests, which are just kinda random funky fun things to do.

Then, there are actual quests, that have to follow the lore. Have to name things properly, know the geography of the maps, locations of NPC's, why those NPC's are there in the first place. Etc.

When I say quest writer, I meant adding content even for events that's tied directly to the world of ROSE, not just held inside of it. For example, Breezy Hills is a great place for a spring time event. I say this because of the many quest story's that involve wind, and plant growth. It's a very spring time place, and could host tonnes of events or sub-events and mini games. But, that's just an example.

We would love to see more event quests in game! We probably aren't going to have a specific designated Volunteer Event Quest creator, but if you are eager to see a quest you created want in game, you can always post your quest ideas in the Quest Submission Subforum. The guidelines are here. I have also created a thread specifically for Event Quest ideas here

Actually, we've had some new event quests recently- there was one for Halloween and one for Thanksgiving and ofc, the 10 Anniversary Event. I agree that events are fun especially when most players can participate. I love events personally.

Mostly events are already loaded into the game to start on a specific day and time. There is a list of them here https://forums.warpp...vent-schedule/

Usually something is posted on ROSE's FaceBook page and the image is changed on the launcher so anyone who logs in will see what's happening now.

But there is another thing that might help get the word out about events and it would make sense here since the main events start automatically on w/e date.

Back at my old server, we had an in-game calendar. It was part of the pull-down menu you'd use to see your stats or skills etc (that server was not evo and we used the old ROSE UI). Because all events there were added and removed manually, it was difficult to keep updated but here it would only have to be loaded in once. It looked like this

INGame_Calendar.jpg

Something like that would be a way for all players to see which event is on now and/or what's coming up if it was listed for the whole year rather than each month. I think this would take some work to implement because it affects the user interface but it might be worth considering in the future.

(Sorry for posting an image from my old server. It just seemed better than me trying to explain it and 100% better than me trying to do something in paint lol)

THIS IS A PRETTY GOOD IDEA TO ADVERTISE UPCOMING EVENTS ETC..

Very good, and something similar should be implemented asap.
