My skill build for a lvl74 bsq capper and farmer.
Ive got a few questions:

1) Should I max out Time Freeze? I heard the skill has the same duration of freeze for all levels, is that true?

2) Should I max out Memorandum of Blood and Staff Mastery? How does the skill work, is it base MATK or total MATK? Is it a % of your spear's damage or total or ur base damage o.O?

3) Is Souldrain worth maxing? I heard that only at lvl5 it is worth using at all. Is that true?

4) Why do some builds in the forum add magma piston but only up to lvl 2? Isit worth maxing?

5) Should I invest in getting higher lvl Focus (above lvl5) than on Memorandum of Blood and Staff mastery?

1. I believe the time duration for time freeze is random through all levels and leveling it higher won't really extend it. The only reason for maxing it is for the cool down reduction.

 

2. It's based on your max Matk. I think this skill is really nice for pvp and pve in general. I have it maxed on 3 sorcerers.

 

3. Soul drain is cancer. Don't upgrade it. I have it on 1/5 because it looks cool sometimes for no reason.

 

4. Magma piston is only useful in dungeons and not in pvp. I have this 5/5 because it's cool and can kill kryos in a few seconds. You do not need this, just if you have extra sp.

 

5. Focus doesn't really do much, I suggest putting the points somewhere else instead of getting focus above 5.

1. I believe the time duration for time freeze is random through all levels and leveling it higher won't really extend it. The only reason for maxing it is for the cool down reduction.
It has never been random on the ground, in the air, you are able to air recovery from time to time.
Time freeze is removed depending on what attack you use.

2. It's based on your max Matk. I think this skill is really nice for pvp and pve in general. I have it maxed on 3 sorcerers.
Only staff mastery increases your Final Damage Amplification.
Memorandum of blood increases base damage.

I heard soul drain could be used to lock an oponnent easier to perform, like an invoker could use wrath of heaven to stun their opponents while they are frozen, so you have time to get back your skill cooldown.

The problem with mafma piston is that you can't cast any other skills while you use it.
So this makes 2 problems, first, you'll probably have the time to be hit by Kryos 3-5 times, and with enough bad luck, this will make you loose your "SSS rank."
And second (whicb is obvious) is that you'll probably do less damage than simply casting your other skills over and over.

5. Focus doesn't really do much, I suggest putting the points somewhere else instead of getting focus above 5.
Focus is like memorandum of blood, but with INT ! INT increases your base magic attack, so it will be abit better than memorandum of blood (especially because it costs less skill points.)
I also like the fact that your max MP increases too.

Soul drain in pvp is not good whatsoever. You have other skills that lock as efficiently, and is usually up all the time depending on how you use it, if you just spam every skill as fast as possible then maybe you'll have trouble locking for an extended period of time.

Whenever I use magmapiston is when kryos is about to freeze me. I cast it-> I freeze->I use match stick-> then the animation and damage goes off but you are free to cast anything.

I have farmed kryos using magmapiston whenever an opporrtunity comes and clear the dungeon in 40 seconds either solo or less time with more players, never have I gotten a lower score whilst using magmapiston.

Oh. I wasn't aware about the magma piston trick when Kryos freezes you !
Welp, I so far managed to get 53 seconds on chaos (my average is 1 minute and a few seconds) since I'm level 81, so maybe I'll try to use magma piston when I'll have time to spare and see the results.

Neither. It increases MATK by a percentage of the base MATK of the character's weapon, which is even worse.
