Wazzah

So I've played dragon saga a while ago, back when Iah was running it. I've decided to return with a bunch of friends but I've got a few questions.

First, has the leveling changed at all? How long does it take to level up from 1-40, 40-60, 60-cap? Is it easier or more difficult to level with a full party?

Second, how pay2win is the game? Can a complete newbie succeed as easily as other players who spend money? How big is the difference between a free to play player and a player who spends money?

Third, how difficult is it to get geared? Is As the second question implies, I probably won't be spending any money on the game for a little bit unfortunately, but, how difficult is it to gear up to a decent level where you can go through mission maps easily.

Fourth, how hard is it to get gold? Are there any specific things a new player should do to save or make money early on? Are there any faster ways to getting gold than just grinding mission maps?

And lastly, how populated is the game atm? I know 2016 just started but can someone give me a rough estimate of how many active players there are?

Thanks for the help. Not sure if I'm posting this in the right section. Sorry if my questions have already been answered somewhere on the forums already.  :p_hi:  :p_hi:  :p_hi:

Hi welcome back sunshyne,

Leveling up is pretty much the same depending on how far back you played.

Leveling from 1-40 may take a committed day or two and grinding with the sole purpose of leveling. (Friday+weekends give a lot of exp now)

Leveling from 40-85 is pretty much F7 alternating maps every 10-15 levels. 85 Is the new cap now.

This game is pay to speed things up, everyone can reach super duper op maxed out whatever for free, you just gotta farm and spend some effort in it.

Mission maps require little to no gear enchants. I can clear every mission map in the game with +0 gear and +0 weapon(although I prefer not to since I am pretty op). Enchanting is just icing on a cake. You can enchant it to +10 with relative ease with just farming on your spare time, getting it high may require a bit more farming, but hey pve to pve faster right?

You should save your early gold and just wait till you absolutely need a weapon or get one through questing, running stuff, buying cheap weapons etc.

The most common way to earn gold is like you said earlier just clear mission maps with an S or higher for 4 items, sell them and get gold. (Best done in Kryos mission map) An alternative is to run dungeons and gamble to see if you can get a drop that/'s worth selling, this takes time and patience since no one will instantly buy your item and you may have to compete with others with selling.

The population of this game is probably much higher than the past 1-2 years, mainly because of steam adding dragon saga to their games.

This is a general outline on how to level quickly.

I didn't explain most things since I like to keep it relatively short, but feel free to pm me if you have any questions about the game and stuff.
