you can only do one at a time

Can't you do bulk with Soft Silk to Fabric though in increments of 50?

I just confirmed what Havenn said. I took 100 Soft Silk but I wasn't sure so I did 10 first and 90 next. Seems like items that stack can be done in bulk but items which take up a slot each (like Tsurugi and Guard) can only be done once per try.

I actually sat down to type a somewhat detailed reply but since my knowledge of Math is bad I could not word it properly and I deleted it.
Basically what you want to do is head to this iRO Wiki page and note down the values required for a valid recipe. Then you just stack said items in multiples of the numbers mentioned on the Wiki page for successful bulk conversions. Any more or less will result in the skill failing but the items will not be consumed.
@inspectortrix: In your case you need to have Orcish Vouchers in multiples of 50 i.e., 50,100,150,200.. and Skel-Bones in multiples of 40 i.e., 40-80-120-160 in order to succeed in the attempt (but if you were to use, say 51 Orcish Vouchers and 80 Skel-Bones the skill would fail). As per the Wiki page, each valid recipe has a small chance of failure but how it affects bulk conversions I do not know. I only tried it thrice and I never failed.
So, yes Kyoutaro, it is possible to change in bulk, but you have to make sure the items you use are in multiples of the raw items mentioned on the Wiki for a single valid recipe. This is the same reason why I succeeded in both tries with Soft Silk as mentioned in my previous comment (I forgot to mention the multiples aspect there). You need 2 Soft Silk per valid recipe and both 10 and 90 are multiples of 2, hence the recipe was deemed valid.

If I remember right, the success chance is applied for the whole procedure. Once per bulk conversion. For example: if I used 200 orcish vouchers and 160 skel bones to make 36 alcohols in one bulk conversion, there is a chance for the bulk to succeed (get 36 alcohols) or fail (lose the materials and get nothing).
In a nutshell, success chance is not individual. It's all or nothing for bulk conversions.

I see, Xaxaxa thanks alot for the tests and replies, and everyone else who replied.

so, does anyone happen to know what the success rates for the recipes are? i've read they are different for each recipe, but irowiki doesn't seem to say anything about success rates, and googling hasn't helped me either

Seems pretty high. Over 50% for sure.

Sorry for resurrecting this thread...
But is there any chance we can recommend that they make new Change Material recipes for useful stuff like Prickly fruit, Pineapple, Melon, Coconut Fruit, Gun Powder, Black Lump, etc?

you could, but its not like they`ll actually do it though XD, if you look at the table most conversions are not worth it so... it would probably be better to just farm the items anyways

meh. Too lazy at farming XD
