Hey fellow Ragnarok players.

Been trying to find a guide for swordie to sader like what skills should i get as swordy and if its worth to get to job 50.

As job 50 do i get to skip any part of the sader change job quest?

What skills should i get as a swordy?

While im here i might aswell ask about gear, close to getting the 300 crystals i need so ill be selling my advanced RoR,so that is like 140/150 mill ill have to spend on gear, was plannin on getting a non upgraded/non carded HBP so i can farm greed with my Biochemist, seems like a good way to make some zenny in Orc Dungeon.

This is a pic of what i have at the moment:

screenChaos009_zps6avyie1k.jpg

Even if i dont have any points into luck i was thinking of getting a non slotted crescent, with high agi i remember from back in the day it was a pretty good weapon.

Well anyway, would apreciate some opinions and help on this, thanks in advance.

Cheers

As a swordie, definitely look at maxing Increase HP Recovery and Bash, since Bash helps with VP damage as a RG later on (unless you plan on staying a perma pally or a FS RG in which case welp :U). Grab Endure 10, and the rest of the points I went MB 9/Provoke 10, since you'll only really be using MB for the 20% Fire endow, if ever. No point in picking up either Sword Mastery, you won't be using it much, even as FS w/ GHA and what not. And definitely grab all 50 Job Levels; even though it doesn't skip anything with the job change quest, always grab all the skill points possible unless you're a DD crit GX (and some other scenarios but let's just stick with max job level for now).

And yeah, Agi-Crit sader is a really fast method of leveling. Crescent Scythe is definitely a good pickup as a temporary 2nd job weapon (it's like less than a mil too), after Maneater/Sticky Webfoot-ing your way to 71, you can pretty much go Sidewinder --> Dark Priests --> 99 real quick, mixing in a Low TI in between if you want. Hope this helps and have fun with your new sader.

:p_smile:

Thanks for the info, will follow your instructions and hope i make it to Sader soon, was hoping to change job now that im 40 but oh well ill just grind it up to job 50 hehe.

Stats wise how am i looking? just been pumping agi and dex at the moment, with 40 dex it should be enough for now right? rest in agi or should i distribute it around a bit?

P.S:You from Edmonton? cool,im from Spain but lived in Canada for like 14 years, lived in PEI,Winnipeg (winterpeg lol freaking cold over there),Toronto but mostly in White Rock (BC),got double nationality but my passport is expired i  havent been to Canada in ages ;)

The amount of DEX you need also depends on how you'll be leveling. If you plan on 2-hand spear Holy Cross leveling, you'll wanna grab around 60 DEX to up your hit. If you wanna be an aspd crit build then you can drop DEX to maybe 40 depending on your crit rate, and pump AGI to 80 or 90 while grabbing some LUK as well. With the crit build, a Morrigane's set is cheap and definitely helps with early leveling.

And yeah I'm from Edmonton, haven't lived anywhere else but visit Calgary and Vancity frequently cuz I got family there.

Hey buddy, sorry to bother you again.

FInally made sader and still have some maneater turnins to get done, level 60/1 at the moment.

How does this list of skills work:

Spear Mastery - 10
Spear Quicken - 10
Peco Ride - 1
Cavalier Mastery - 5
Faith - 10
Holy Cross - 10

Wanted to get heal but it seems im going to be some skill points short, any advice?

Just finished with maneater turn-in and i have 17 skill points at the moment.

Not sure in what order to get them skills, guessing peco and cavalier first,or maybe just the spear oriented ones?

Thanks in advance for the help :)

Whoops, sorry man didn't check this earlier. That looks great, those are really the only skills you'll need as a Crusader anyways, until you hit Paladin. You can grab Spear Quicken 10 first if you want, the ATK bonus from riding a Peco isn't a huge deal. After that I'd grab Holy Cross to help with your DPS, and in no time at all you'll realize you're already job 50 and can grab all the skills. Also don't bother getting Heal, it's not worth it on a sader.

As a pally, you can start to look at grabbing a few support skills like Defending Aura and Sacrifice as these will make you more desirable in parties. You can keep HC 10 until you hit 99 and drop it to level 6 with Mesmerist reset as a RG when you get Overbrand (level 6 because Genesis Ray requires Grand Cross 5 and is a prereq for Inspiration). As a RG, I also recommend Cannon Spear 5 because although OB is the more popular AOE, CS actually does a really nice job with 120 STR with the right setup and element.

Thanks, that is a lot of info, will save it for future reference :)

Tried with sidewinders but was using to many fish so went back to Payon and did some Archer Skeleton,Munak,Bongun and Sohee turn-ins (150 each)

Ill try Sidewinders in a couple of levels, this is the current status of my Crusader:

screenChaos010_zpsvlec7tpq.jpg

Was thinking in getting my vit up to 20 then get some int, maybe 20 aswell, seems to be struggling with my sp.

Finally got the 300 crystals for my Advanced RoR so ill be selling that, gear wise i think im ok for now, just save the zeny for when i transcend unless you have any advice on some piece of gear that im missing that could make my leveling a bit more faster and/or smoother.

Thanks a bunch for the help.

Cheers

*UPDATE*

Currently leveling my High Swordsman.

Been looking at builds in iro.wiki but still not sure what my end build will be,noticed that the 2 builds (3rd one says its obsolote due to some changes *shrug*) have agi in them,so for the sake of leveling im pumping dex and agi at the moment.

Is there a way to level as a paladin and not have to use the mesmerist to get rid of HC once i get to RG?

Strapped on funds so i dont know if i will have the zenny to do so.

Once i change to paladin, should i continue with my basic Crusader skills or is sacrifice for example a must have skill?

Currently in a 3 man guild, well its just me and my alts, hated looking at my name without a guild icon hehe

In the future i was thinking of joining a guild and with a "tank" build, are guilds in need of those or is there other role i should be looking into for my future RG?

Any advice would be welcome,thanks.

there is free skill reset as long as you are base 99 or lower (i use the one in izlude) you can reset your skills once you are an RG but at base 99 ( do not become level 100)

Sacrifice is definitely worth getting, in my opinion. It's a distinguishing feature of RGs and is incredibly helpful in pretty much every field of the game. Unless you're talking about a woe full support build there isn't really any point going for a 'tank' build in pvm. As long as you have the right gear you'll still be able to tank pretty well as a battle/pvm RG.
