Hi, I'm starting out on this game. I made an acolyte so far and an archer, but it seems to take forever to level. I did the academy quests but I'm at like level 6 and it takes an hour and a half to get to the next level o_O. Is there a faster way of leveling?

Consider restarting. If you finished all Academy quests, you should be at level 9 with maxed Job level. It's actually not a bad idea to stay as a novice until base 12, because the novice gear they give you is going to be better than what you have as a beginner unless you borrowed real nice gear from someone else. When you reach 12, you can do Eden gear quests to get some armors.

 

If you don't want to restart, ask someone to let you borrow a Stapo card and put it on a slotted accessory. Then, using Throw Stone ability of the gear, you can kill anything besides the butterflies near Prontera in two hits this way. I don't mind letting you borrow mine, just privately message Seaman in the next hour in-game.

 

You can also go into the culvert/sewers by doing this quick quest, and snipe the bugs and bats across gap using your archer.

 

Do both the quests in the Eden and Bounty Board quests at the same time. Each of your kill will count for both quests.

You should focus on your archer for now since it is one of the, if not the easiest class to level. You need a good bow to kill things efficiently. At your level the choice is no other than Composite bow along with some arrows which all can be bought in Payon. At level 26 you should do the eden gear quest which rewards the very powerful eden bow I. Once you turn hunter you should use the hunter bow with hunting arrows, which is an insanely powerful combo. 

 

If you are vip and know what you are doing you should level up every few minutes all the way up to level 70.
