Looking at an older DDoS report thread from last year, to resolve the connection issue one fellow suggested to enter wrong account info on the login screen followed by the correct form with a couple minutes of wait period in between. A few reported that method worked with them, however I can't explain or verify how or why it would work. Give it a try.

well hacking into a game offers nothing actually cos its just virtual items theyr looking for something probably

 

Probably Mad for some reason and decides to throw the server down.

well if you guys need to bring down the servers do it then just inform us so we dont grow roots on our fingers waiting whats gonna happen, games being attacked isnt new but from my experience with blizzard they will bring down the server instead of just letting any hacker get in

 

all we ask is info on what your gonna do

Thank you for the suggestion, but not helped. Well... I'm playing Requiem, but there are no mods/GM there and the problem is about WP/all games), so I came here to search for some help.

 

The fact is I cannot reach the login screen, when I start the launcher, I immediately get the message "Error 06: Failed internet connect" (like many other players there), I don't know what to do... I will try with a ticket, don't know what else to do.

 

If I can suggest, you should unban all the IPs banned between yesterday and today... as we can see it doesn't stop the attack (that is still going) but it blocked the players...

still playing honey

just done with sapha visit quest (i started the quest after i can log in)

 

there are a couple of server hiccup which makes you cant move for a while but after that it is fine

How come you are blocking ip addresses as these are network related duh!

So on the thousands ip addresses that we have all over the work you suddenly decide to block some of them?

I may not be tech savvy but i guess its not fair to do as such as i have been playing with the same ip address for a year and now its not working?

Can you provide a fix for this as were loosing vip dates and what not

Servers have been up, but establishing a connection to them is almost impossible during the DDoS.

Looks stable right now.

It mostly is, I've been getting some (lethal) lag within the past couple of minutes tho.
Still, it's much better than it was!

Already tried in various ways (resetting router, with command dos (IP release/renew)), checked the IP changed, connecting from 2 different computers), but still cannot connect, so it seems the problem is not the IP. Any other idea?

Keep in mind WP's ISP works with public IP addresses. Changing your local IP address within your own LAN (usually in the 192.168.x.x range) will do absolutely nothing if your IP address on the internet at large remains the same.

Some globe users in the Philippines can't connect.  :p_sad:

 

Same with me.

I need to use VPN so that I can connect to the game. It's kinda hassle because I also play different game while playing iRO. Is there any other solution to fix the "Failed to connect" problem? :(

I believe my IP address also banned by WP due to the first quote below as I logg in the other character of mine while waiting my muted character to be recovered from mute.

 

Tried the 2nd quote below, not working, the method I tried:-

 

1. wrong game ID;

2. wrong game password; and

3. both wrong game ID and password.

 

Also, tried to restart my modem. Not useful for me, but maybe useful you.

 

Currently waiting for reply from WP because I sent a ticket 10 minutes ago. And about to forget it is SAT in US and tomorrow is a SUN for US. So, at least 2 waiting days...
