Well I think it's kinda clever the community was down as well, successfully avoiding bad comments.
However, people will know this is not a b*t killing event, this is just a server quake...

Servers are down for sure, atleast i sold some things before the disconnect....so I'm not left completely empty handed. I guess this is my queue to start doing some college assignments and actually go out and be social today.

It's a Distributed denial of service (DDoS), RO2 is suffering the same attack, and probably the rest of WarpPortal games.

Update:
The staff have been notified and are working on mitigating the issue, right now it does look like a DDoS attack.
All of WP games are affected.
