If you are still unable to connect then there is a high chance your IP is blocked, but it's being stated there were a few of those and those only with numerous connections opened at once (of course this is not normal). So if you fall within this criteria submit a support ticket.

 
To send a support ticket:

• Register a support account, click here.
• Verify the account then log on the support account from this page.
• Click on Submit a ticket and write in about your connection issue, state that your IP might be blocked.

It is unlikely to get an instant response so be patient.

Me too, right now i cant connect to the server. Is DDOS still causing the problem? last night was so laggy and having dc issues but i can still connect to the game server(Thor)

I'm having exactly the same problem.

I was able to login and play yesterday but then it got really bad, logging in first kept me frozen while all other players were loaded in very slowly and then disconnected me.

Now it only says "failed to connect to the server" and restarting my router doesn't help either.

The WarpPortal forums are super slow for me too and either take ages to load or don't load at all.

i have same probs since yesterday evening

disconnect issues, slow loading in forum and sometimes the site won't load.

i tried to connect on 3 different laptops (2x win 10  1x win7) same prob

the ip was not the problem because i could log in but disconnected after some lags.

no i did reinstall the game on all 3 laptop to test something

but now i can't patch it let me connect but because of the missing files from the recent updates i now get sprite issues and the problem stays the same

Run a tracert to playragnarok.com and paste the log in spoiler tags.
Instructions:
 

I've written some clearer and more robust instructions:

• Press Windows-R (the Windows key and the R key).
• Type "cmd" and then press enter.
• Maximise the Command Prompt window that is opened.
• Enter "tracert playragnarok.com".
• Wait until tracert has completed. If tracert outputs six lines of asterisks in succession, then press control-C to terminate it.
• Right-click the window and then choose "select all".
• Right-click the window again to copy the selection to the clipboard.
• Paste the copied text into the appropriate place, such as a reply to a support ticket.

i have the same problem.

 

I start Ragnarok and it makes an update.

every time.

I made it!

Im logged in. the first i see is the normal message you get every time "Base XP 18045%".

The message where you see the XP rates and Item drops. The first is 18000 all other is 0.

Except Item drop. There it shows something like -30000 %.

 

I think woah grat xp boni and want to try it.

And really i try to walk 50 meters and druing this 50 meter i get 50 disconnects.

Then i look at the forum and guess what.

 

I load the warpportal page.

And during the loading i clean the house.

clean my car.

write a book.

 

and OH !

 

Its loaded finally.

 

Then i go on the support forum and.... its loading.....

 

I think i have some time.

I cook something.

Then i go to bed and take a nap.

 

And then when i look again its loaded !

 

WOW !

 

Sorry guys but this is really bad.

You say its a DDOS attack.

When someone tells me there is a problem and i will solve it i think its ok.

 

But this problem lasts for several days now.

 

What the heck are you doing there ?

 

If i tell my boss i will fix it and after day its still not fixed what do you think he tells me ?

 

And there is 0 reply from devs or whatever.

Your client is not properly patched, that's why you see wrong server rates. To address that issue see solution #4 here.

It seems to me that iRO always has some connection issues with players from Germany.

Maybe that can be forwarded to them to check if something in their setup is preventing connections from Germany to establish.

yeah i am a german player too and ddos messed things not up for me.

 

it began some hours ago, yesterday evening all was normal after the ddos and then it happens, while i playing

today i tried it again, but things are more messed up since yesterday. it patch sometimes after reinstall but not enough.

and forum loading not happen 90 % of the time too

it's hard to post because of the side loading probs but i try it as often as i can

I'm always getting one of the following:
a) after character selection I'm stuck in an endless "please wait", have to alt+f4 to get out of it

"failed to connect" after inputting my login information

c) I manage to log in, I can see my character but that's it, have to alt+f4 to get out of it

d) I manage to log in, everything seems to load fine afer waiting for ages, but I can't move and then get a dc after some more minutes

e) I manage to log in, everything loads after waiting for ages, I can walk around a bit but lag a lot and talking to NPCs takes like ~5min to load the textbox

Either the DDoS mitigation has been turned on or ISP issue. Because there is a report on the web of users under Deutsche Telekom complaining of weird connection issues today, I am thinking it could be indeed ISP related.
