the intention is clear that the seller wants to scam. But you need intelligence to understand that.

Camp stated that from the pricing of the man item aswell.

If a person sells an item at xyz price, that his item to price being expensive or cheap.

They cant tell you how to price it....

As for the shop name and item, i'll quote it from you; *you need intelligence to understand* blind ppl dont play RO.

And they'll come here and say thats reportable, but the rest of bot vends all over still vends.

I've come across a few merchants that have been selling Well Ripened Berries but using shop names to give the impression that they're Strawberries. Is this allowed?

 

In the above example they have the shop name "*_* Straw 2000". I've also seen what is probably the same person (based on shop name) in Geffen and Prontera. I want to know if this is punishable because I'm quite happy to send tickets in for this but I don't want to waste my time if nothing will be done about it.

 

If that is punishable what about with shop names such as "BERRY!! 1.9K". While not technically false it's still clearly intending to fool buyers and I've just come across a shop with such a name that, according to Ragial, did have 1,000 Well Ripened Berries but has sold them all.

I think he should be banned, he is trying to take advantage of people. My sister who IS NEW thought it was normal sp ones. she bought some, she is upset by it. she is still struggling to find stuff in this game. I dont take kindly to butt scabs taking advantage of new players ban him and all his alts. :I PUNISH HIM

When your new to the game, its basic to read most of the stuff you meet, especially the ones you buy from your hard earned zeny. Even Ash uses his pokedex on pokemons he have already met.

This is a clear form of technical abuse. Because the sprite of a well ripened berry, yes the pet food, looks like a real strawberry. And people, please don't blame them for being careless, who tend / lean on being visual are easily fooled and deceived by these opportunistic people.

 

I would like to make a quick list of the char names (or probably the same person, we don't know if a girl or a boy this char owner is), who do these scam in-game, they sit in Payon, Prontera, and to avoid ragial detection, in geffen. Note that starting from the top of the list down are the most blunt / bold in doing this type of activity. And mind you they put the price, close to 2k or less, and sit together with real strawberry vendors.

Im not even defending that guy if you failed to comprehend my posts. Im just telling WP what cases are to be handled and ignored, and also people to read if you want to play RPG and not just spam enter.Well, I actually despise these people more who are scammed by these very-simple-no-brainer schemes than the scammer itself

For what it's worth, I reported one of these strawberry/EDP scammers once because I saw one of them on Ragial's Cheapest list and I was like "screw this guy in particular". I don't know if the guy's gone back to scamming, but the GMs did handle my report and the guy stopped selling false materials shortly after.

On the topic, the act of false advertising items in vend (e.g. stating it is Strawberry where in fact the item being sold is Well Ripened Berry) is reportable, it's a scam. Please send in a ticket with names of characters suspected of that.
 
You may use the same ticket to report the same act each time.
