I had some people ask me about this so they don't waste sp or whatever, so I'll just put it up here for clarification. This has been tested.

 

 

1st class: Focus = Base

 

3rd class: Staff Mastery = Final

 

4th class: Memorandum of blood = Base

Meh.

A 12 % Max MATK soulcraft is based on a base damage weapon, while a passive is based on base character's attack (from INT) so it's debatable.

Please read my comment again : I stated that "Memorandum of Blood increases final max MATK by 10 to 18% of the weapon's base MATK". Which, for one, does not include base character's attack nor Intelligence.

 

As such, it works exactly like a max MATK soulcraft.

I would like to get numbers about that, because I highly doubt about it.

Leveling up this ability from lv.4 to lv.5, with a 3.500-ish max MATK weapon equipped, gave a bonus around 60~70, if my memory serves me right. Which seems to go pretty well with my assumptions, seeing how 2% of 3.500 are exactly 70. Of course I could be making these numbers up, but please trust me, it really happened as I tell you it did ^_^

 

This makes Memorandum of Blood a reasonably powerful passive, although still costing 125 skill points. To be noted is the fact that a great part of the useful spells of this class scale from total MATK, and as such see their damage increase as this passive is leveled up.
