Hello Dragon Saga Friends,

 

with the maintenance on 2/18 we have added additional measures against gold sellers as well as a new check for corrupted or altered sensitive client files and client. This is another big step we took to make Dragon Saga more secure for everyone.

 

This new check has the following advantages:

  • It will tell you if one of the sensitive files might have been corrupted due to the patching process.
    If you get this message right after the patching process or in-game you should follow what the message box tells you: re-start the game and check if this message persists. If it persists please re-install the game. If this doesn't help please submit a ticket to our support team or write a PM to me. Then we will check which file is always corrupting for you.
  • It will prevent abusive changing of sensitive client files. This was important because we got reports lately about people altering client files to get unfair advantages over others.
    It could be the case you use altered files without abusive intentions, for example to change the language of the game. Since these files are considered as sensitive files using altered languages is no longer possible. Please make sure to play only with the original game files.

how to restart the game? im not really understand. btw,my dragon saga files are copied from my cousin computer,im not downloading it.. so there's any way to solves this?

Restarting simply means closing and re-opening the game.

If that doesnt help then you should try to download your own game from the website. Deinstall the ones from your cousin and re-install the game using the files you got from the website if possible.

If you still get that message, write a ticket to the support team or write a private message to Popcorn and they'll do their best to check what's wrong/which file is corrupted.

i play this game through steam and the game crashed after i chose my character :hmm: ...i ve restarting the game and the message got out as above...

so i delete it and re-download it and then re-patch the game..But the problem is still there :wall: ....anyone have the same problem?

Please excuse the double post, but I'm not sure if you've read my previous message or not, and don't want you to think your issue is going unnoticed!

Are you, by chance, using a different language pack to play the game? If so, that's an altered client file, and would prevent you from playing the game.

Edit: you can go to where you installed the game, find the release folder, and send the file "corruption_log" to Popcorn via Pm. He'll be able to get to the root of the issue through there.

Hi there. I would like some help please.

My issue is that every time the server updates, my client file gets "corrupted." I can only get up to the character selection screen and then the error screen shows up and closes the game. I'm pretty fed up reinstalling the game over and over. It would work for a little while and then the same error would show up later on when I try logging back on the game.

You probably either have a bad internet connection, or a firewall that prevents you to get all the data files.

Best would be to ask someone to upload the updated client.

You could have a look into the "Release" subfolder of your Dragon Saga installation, there should be another folder called "Log". In it you should find a file called "corruption_log" or "corruption_log.txt". If you copy the content into a PM to me I can exactly tell you which files are getting corrupted and maybe we also find out why this happens for you.
