This is my first time trying to play classic.

 

I've patched the classic client and when I press play it says "No Client Info File", so I tried the patch bypass solution I've found here on the forums. When I open that file it crashes and gives me the Gravity Error Handler window, so I found another post that said to repatch both renewal and classic by replacing the patch.inf and cpatch.inf. After doing this, patching renewal then classic, launching from the patch bypass and logging in, I can only see the Thor and Chaos server. I've also tried deleting everything and reinstalling and the same thing happens.

 

I can't seem to find any posts with something similar to this, so I'm hoping someone could help me?

Hello,

Unless you know what you are doing do not bypass the patcher, it may cause problems.

You need to run ClassicRO.exe for Classic Loki server. To address the No Client File error, see the experimental fix here.

 

If that didn't help please see the following instructions in spoiler tag.

Spoiler

1. Uninstall any RO client on system and delete remaining RO folders and files.
2. Download a fresh copy from the official website, here. If you have done this already skip to step 3.
3. Run the installer, let this finish.
4. Run Ragnarok.exe as an admin, patch it fully. Make sure running Ragnaork.exe each time does NOT download the same patch files. If it does stop here and clean your IE cache, see appendix 2 here for a step by step tutorial.
5. After a successful patch close Ragnarok.exe patcher and download cps.dll from here. Keep cps.dll on your desktop for now.
6. Run ClassicRO as an admin, let it patch fully.
7. If the patching is done close ClassicRO patcher. Go to your desktop where you have placed cps.dll and copy the file to your Ragnarok folder. Replace when prompted.
8. Run ClassicRO, click on start and continue as usual.

Ahh, I'm an idiot! I found out what was wrong.

 

I tried out the clientinfo files in the link you posted, but those did not work.

 

I was meant to add "-1old1" instead of "-1rag1" at the end of the shortcut to clragexe.exe to properly bypass the patch. The -1rag1 shortcut ended up opening the renewal login screen instead!
