The time has come for this time honored event to return! Get ready to show off the inner and outer beauty of your lovely Rose characters. As per previous years, we are asking the mightiest of "gals" to reveal the class, dignity and attitude it takes to be victorious, to be the best around! There will be three contests in total, giving you three chances to show us you deserve that crown!

The citizens of Zant are in an uproar over the wily antics of Lampa's favorite pet chicken. They demand the mischievous critter be relocated, but Lampa can't bear to part with his little friend. What would you do to resolve this situation?::

Registration will end on March 14th, or when there are 24 contestants! 

 

Contest #1: Dress the Part:: Contestants will be asked to dress in the part of their representing zone! There are no guidelines for this Contest, so players can mix and match costumes as they wish, provide a collage of images or even a story in pictures to show off the beauty of their zone. Voting will start on 04/04/2016 or once all entries have been collected. 

 

Contest #2: Fanciest Costume::Players must choose the fanciest costume their characters would wear if attending a formal event while representing their region. Screenshots or videos, gifs, or artwork and stories/dialogue or poetry may be included as long as their is an image of their character in the costume! This contest will run from 04/20/2016 - 05/09/2016. Voting will be done by the Warpportal Staff. 

 

The Way to win::  Like in previous years, the way to become Ms ROSE 2016 is to win the hearts of your fellow Roserians! The first two contests will be voted on by ROSE users, and the 3rd and final contest will be voted on by the Gravity Staff. After each contest, those with the lowest amount of votes will be removed from the competition. From 24 contestants, to 16 contestants to 10 contestants. You will need to give it your all if you want a chance for the title of Ms ROSE 2016!

 

Contests and Event Details will be posted soon. The first Contest will be posted as soon as the Registration Event has completed! There will be three categories: Dress the Part, Fanciest Outfit, and Talent Show! 

 

 

Rules for Ms. ROSE 2016 ::

 

• No Stacking votes in an ill-gotten manner.  This means if an account is found trying to stack the vote for a certain contestant.  It can also be making it seem that they are trying to stack the vote for a another contestant. If that is the case then that account can be suspended on forums and in-game until further notice
• Accounts must be at least 1 month old to have their votes count
• No inappropriate pictures/videos/entries/submissions/text
• Absolutely no trolling/flaming of any kind on the Thread/PM’s/In-game/Anywhere for the contestants.
• No foul play!
• Have fun!

 

If any of these rules are broken, it can lead to you being disqualified.

I've played ROSE for many, many years and I love the game as much today as I did the first time I tried it. My goal and wish is for all players to love this game as much as I do. That's why I do what I can to get people excited about playing and help anyone who needs it.

Lampa would be too sad if the chicken was taken away, so I'd just fix the fence surrounding his farm so the little guy can't get out and cause trouble.
Muffins, Pancakes, and Waffles: Which one would you eat yourself, share with a friend, and toss at Crune for failing to refine your new shoes to 15?  All of those things are too good to be wasted by throwing them at Crune, but if I had to choose, I would eat the waffles myself, share the pancakes with a friend, and throw the muffins at Crune since they can be tossed further than the other two items.

Why do you deserve the title of Ms ROSE 2016:: I'm helpful and I will show compassion specially to new players whom I considered keys to further increase the population of this game. I will use my title to voice out and influence the market, for me its time to make prices fair and affordable, this will keep the players stick with the game and probably can encourage more to come and play. Lastly, I'm willing to fight and suppress bottling which gives disadvantage to players who farm and work so hard.

If you could have any super power, what would it be and why:: Omnipotence, so I can determine who is doing dupping, bottling and scamming in game and make them permanently unable to play ROSE. As for rude players, I will give punishment to them so they will learn how to become a polite player. For good players I will give them quarterly 3x drop/experience event, additional 75% clan points, free game arena energy and 1 free job skill reset and stat reset, those are good for 2 weeks.

What would you do to resolve this situation?:: I will discuss with the citizens of zant together with Lampa that Lampa's favorite chicken must not be relocated. Lampa should just make a better plan and build a well-designed Chicken Coop inside his farm, I will discuss the benefits/purpose of this Chicken Coop to the citizens of Zant so they are aware and well inform, this will resolve the situation.

I would eat pancakes, compared to muffins and waffles, it contains less calories. I would share waffle with a friend since it has the highest amount of vitamin a compared to pancakes and muffins. Lastly, I would give muffins to crune since it contains high calories, fat and saturated fat.

I would love to have the ability to heal because if I have that then I would be able to help heal and save many lives.

I would have a chat with Lampa and get him to erect an enclosed safe area near his farm/house just for his pet chicken so that his chicken can't leave the area and cause any problems to the citizens of Zant and be still within close proximity of Lampa's living quarters so that he won't have to part with it. It's like killing two birds with one stone.

Examples of different Zones to choose from would be Adventurer's Plain, Junon Polis, or Mana Snowfields (these are just examples, you may choose from any zone in ROSE).

No, I specifically meant in real life.

Essentially, the only way to have it work, is if you enter the 'Ms ROSE' contest, you shouldn't be allowed to enter the 'Mr ROSE' contest [and vice versa].

Obviously people will cheat and use different forum accounts, but it would be easy to spot someone doing that [for the most part]. Which is fine given these contest are 99% popularity contests and some random nobody is unlikely to win it. Possible, but incredibly unlikely.

 

Obviously it would be preferable if it was your real life gender, but so long as you don't participate in both, I think it's fair. Because like I said, it's a popularity contest, and allowing people to swing both genders, effectively allows them to win it twice.

At this time we are not placing real life gender restrictions on either contest. If it seems like there will be an issue, we may place other restrictions on the Mr ROSE contest to ensure the same player cannot win twice.

But no, my argument would be, that if we're not going to restrict access to this contest by real life gender, we shouldn't for in-game gender. And also out of respect for people who do legitimately identify as the gender they were not born with. One could argue that a character once made soon realizes they identify the the opposite gender more. 

 

Plus chicks can wear beards, and male muses can wear dresses.

The only issue really for the Ms ROSE competition including male characters is the prize. We will only be giving the Ms ROSE prizes out for this contest, and the Ms ROSE dress has a character gender requirement attached to it, so it could not be worn by a male character. So, at this time your character must be female in order to be able to use all of the prizes for this contest. If someone would like to enter their male character anyway for this contest they can, but the prizes for this event will not be changing for the event.

 

I can make a request for future events however, to see if we could have an item that would work as a replacement, or a new item that would work for both genders.
